Will the Raptors ever be considered "DeMar's Team"?

Do you guys think that one day when Bosh is long gone that the Raptors will be considered "DeMar's team"? I'm mean, hes proved to be a fairly efficient NBA player, but does he have what it takes to be a franchise guy, or just a sidekick for the rest of his NBA career. My opinion, I think that can, if he puts his mind to it. He works really hard to get better, and thats what good franchise guys do.

Your thoughts?

Yup... when he gets the ball what's the first thing he does..... he throws up an airball. Drive, Drive ,Drive, that's what I would do if I was a freak athlete.

if we keep on losing like this...by the time demar becomes a franchise player, the Raptors will have moved to kansas city.....or las vegas...

Congrats, you have proved to me and everyone else in this forum that you clearly know nothing about the NBA.

He needs to work on his dribbling. He plays the game hard, he doesn't take any plays off... he's got a good head, a decent midrange game.. and mad hops. I really like what Derozan's been doing so far.

He can be our franchise later on if he wears #15... but it's too early to tell.

Dude if you know shooting is not your strength, is that what you do as soon as you get the ball?? Attack the damn basket and get to the line. If we wanted a catch and shoot player Kapono would still be here. Word of advice don't call people out without backing up ur remarks

If he works on a couple of things then no doubt. First is his shot. Way too many open looks becoming airballs. is shot has gotten better no doubt but it needs to get even better. Another thing is that he has to learn to drive. He does on some occasions but most of the time DD is on a guy not as quick as him so drvie the ball. Lastly is his ballhandeling. He runs into the pain then he losses the ball and if this gets better so will his driving skills. IF he works on this no doubt this will be known as DeMar's team

The thing people need to realize is just how little experience he's had playing at a high level. He was only in college for one year. That's almost straight out of high school if you think about it. Now i don't know if you younger guys can remember Tracy McGrady in his first few years here, but he was inconsistant and always making rookie mistakes. always. It was only after a few years did he start showing what he could become.

get it?

Now i still think starting DeRozan at this stage in his life wasn't/isn't the best thing for him, but heh, i'm not an NBA coach.

I agree, inconsistency is gonna happen and you just have to put up with that.

Besides that he has impressed me. By showing that he is not impressed himself by the big stage and by showing flashes of great ability. Particularly things like the blocks on some very big time players and the and one alley-oop from Josť. And he doesn't jack up bad shots too much imo.
