Will LAL make an offer for Andrea?

I read rumours about a trade Rondo + Bass for Gasol (plus possible adds).

With that trade LAL improve the 1, but they lose centimeters and offensive talent at 4.

Why do I think to Andrea at LA? He is very similar to Gasol, in the staff there is Messina. And Rondo’s + Andrea’s contracts are about 20 millions, while Gasol’s contract is 18.

Rondo
Bryant
Mettah
Bargnani
Bynum

Not bad…

So guys do you think that LAL, if the trade Rondo-Gasol happens, will try to take Andrea? And which offer would they propose?

Blaze 02-10-2012 09:43 AM

So your suggesting we give him away for free?

Northern Neighbour 02-10-2012 09:47 AM

The Lakers don't have the assets to land Bargnani.

Don Vito 02-10-2012 09:51 AM

I wouldn't trade Bargnani for anyone on the Lakers tbh.

I ask you if LAL can make a credible offer for Andrea

Gasol/Bargnani instead of Rondo/Gasol, this would make more sense... you can't give away your main guy without getting a proper counterpart

2 months ago this wouldn't have been said.

We'd be foolish to trade Andrea, a star that wants to be here, unless people are worried about his calf muscle.... but generally you worry more about joint problems long term with bigs.

Well, it's untrue as well..... Bynum is clearly an interesting piece..... but Gasol is too old for this type of deal with the raps.

A star? :confused2:

dude, come on, don't tell me he isn't playing at an all-star level this year and if not for injuries..... did I say superstar? He's 26 and was carrying this bum squad. You've called much less a star.

Don Vito 02-10-2012 10:56 AM

Lakers would trade for Bargnani in a heartbeat ...but I just don't see BC wanting any of their players.

He's playing well but he's not a star yet dude. 11 games does not make someone a star. Who's lesser that I've called a star?

carp 02-10-2012 11:08 AM

It's not been 11 games... but hey, call him whatever you want... the truth is he's this team's star and it's not even close. Is Tyreke Evans a star? Brandon Jennings? Eric Gordon? Kevin Martin?

Ok, 13 games. Lol

None of the above are stars. Like Barkley said yesterday, a great scorer on a bad team isn't a star. Is he a star on this team, sure. Bosh was considered a star (not just on this team). Do you think he's a star now?

I've always considered Bosh a star, just not a superstar. And it's been more than 13 games, don't be ignorant and discount the years he's played. Last year you may not have thought he improved, but we're seeing this year how bad this team is without him. Again, embellish all you want... the guy is a legit NBA frontliner in this league and has made some of your stars look like pylons at times, including Lebron.

The love a guy like Jennings gets on here compared to Bargnani is simply idiotic. Eric Gordon? People talk like he's amazing. It's lunacy. Fine, Bargnani isn't a star.... cause he plays here. Fuck, Torrap is talking like Jeremy Lin is a freaking world-beater..... the grass is so much greener outside of our concrete jiungle.

Prior to this year (his 13 games) you thought Bargnani was a star? How bad this team is without him.......yeah this team is awful, doesn't make him a star. He's the best player on a bad team. He's not a star and it's not because he plays here. Those players you're talking about, where are you reading that they're stars?

Those players... and I'm only talking about what I'm reading on RF when I'm referring to the craziness..... but yeah, I look at Bargnani's entire career progression when evaluating him, not just 13 games. I think that's the prudent approach. He IS a star... despite having made a significant leap in your mind only recently..... but there were signs of it last year and the year before, one only had to be paying attention. Just an opinion.
