He IS a star... despite having made a significant leap in your mind only recently..... but there were signs of it last year and the year before, one only had to be paying attention. Just an opinion.

He showed strides two seasons ago, then regressed last season especially with his rebounding, shooting and was never consistent with his effort until this season. Sorry, I just don't consider him an NBA star at this point.

Yeah, in a video game he would be a star. You're right, this is not a video game. Lol

Again, embellish all you want... the guy is a legit NBA frontliner in this league and has made some of your stars look like pylons at times, including Lebron.

The love a guy like Jennings gets on here compared to Bargnani is simply idiotic. Eric Gordon? People talk like he's amazing. It's lunacy. Fine, Bargnani isn't a star.... cause he plays here. Fuck, Torrap is talking like Jeremy Lin is a freaking world-beater..... the grass is so much greener outside of our concrete jiungle.
Lulz. No. Much like my comments towards Bosh you take things out of context and exaggerate.

Did you ever see me say anywhere that Lin is a bonafide all-star? Or that he's an MVP? Or that he's the best PG in the league?

What I've said is that he's "for real"... meaning he's a starter-calibre PG... and a solid one.

That's it.

For the record, I'm not buying into the Jennings love either.

Uhm... just to understand your parameters, what should Andrea do to become a star?

Its almost like people on this board have no balance. I've said bi-polar before and I think that's about right. Last year Bargs sucked, was a pariah and needed to be traded for a bag of balls. Now he's an all-star, superstar, god and nobody on LAL is worth him.

Jesus people...

Lakers should be zeroed in on Jose. He would be a major upgrade at PG. His P n R game would maximize the talents of Gasol and Bynum, who would also cover Jose's deficiencies defensively.

Keep playing like he has been this year and maybe improve his defence as well.

Continue to do it for more than 13 games and continue to improve his rebounding. Basically sustain this over a prolonged stretch and have it become who he is rather than have many wondering if it's going to last. It's hard to call someone a star when 6 weeks ago he was looked upon as a player that was probably looking at his final chance with the team that drafted him because he was so frustrating to watch. People are always so eager to name someone a star.

Yet there are so many in this forum who lost their heads for Lin after couple of games. Lin is already being called star, its seems that many members of RF are ready to trade the whole team +CN Tower to NY in return of Lin

So I agree with you. But just a blind should say, at least, he hasn't the potential to become a star (not referred to you, but to a lot of people who developed a senseless hatred for him)

Bass or whoever.
Otherwise salaries don't work, the Celtics can't just take Gasol for Rondo.

I guess the OP is an Italian Lakers fan so I understand why this was made.
But I don't see the deal.

Yup plus his shooting will improve even more with all the open looks he would get.

His contract + elevated level of play should make him almost tradeable (in terms of trying to match his contract with another). Now that he plays defense, his scoring touch is outrageous and he opens the floor, giving the rest of the team better looks.
