"Will crowds boo Kris Humphries when he returns to Toronto tomorrow?"

Quote:

Kris Humphries has come a long way since his days as a young (read: not very good) basketball player in Toronto. The ex-Raptor and, more importantly, ex-hubby of Kim Kardashian, will play in the city tomorrow night for the first time since he was officially named the most hated player in basketball. Humphries has been booed at every game so far this season, but it’s still unclear whether sports fans—and those with the time to keep up with the Kardashians—are reacting to rumours that his 72-day marriage was a publicity stunt or to his monotone idiocy on Kourtney and Kim Take New York.
Will crowds boo Kris Humphries when he returns to Toronto tomorrow? Kim Kardashian, we presume, says yes | The Fame Monsters | torontolife.com

Why would they?

The guy played hard and was traded.

jeffb 01-05-2012 06:11 PM

He's been back before and not been booed. Booing him now would be stupid as fuck. Besides i still don't get why he's being booed? Because he fucked, married and divorced KK in the offseason? Who cares?

Don Vito 01-05-2012 06:13 PM

Looks like everyone hates Humphries now.. post-divorce.

Kris Humphries getting booed by Knicks fans - YouTube

Mehh, bandwagon gimmick. One crowd booed him and it caught on, whatever. It's just stupid.

Don Vito 01-05-2012 06:16 PM

He is supposedly the most hated player in the NBA guys :haha:

Get with the program.

powerfulpanda 01-05-2012 06:23 PM

people boo him because they believe the marriage was a scam. they both made a lot of money from it and kris went from a little known nba player to a household name.

Rudy-T 01-05-2012 06:27 PM

As Acie said, Why would he get booed? He played here few years back, he played hard, and he tried his best (which wasnt that much, but then again it was worth the playing time in TO). Then he went to some other team. Thats what players do.

I would think he should be given applause for his time in TO rather than boos. And why should any one care if he married and divorced a stupid famous bitch.

to put it simply, he sold himself for fame and money. personally i don't care enough for me to hate him. if he made money at the expense of others then thats a different story.

Society and the public allowed him to make that money and bought into it. It's almost as much on them for being so invested in those two. If they weren't, they wouldn't have had the opportunity to make such money.

Life's too short to hate on anybody, I wouldn't even boo Vince Carter anymore. Although, I'd be hard pressed not to boo T-Mac, he deserves silence more than any recognition.

Snooch 01-05-2012 07:45 PM

people wouldnt boo the fucking situation, and that guy sold himself more than a brokendown truckstop whore.

So booing Hum has nothing to do with him selling himself, and more to do with societies infatuation with so called celebrity.

Be happy for Hump's success. Anyway, the Kardashians are fake.

I'm fully pursuaded it's Lebitch's camp that influenced the media to make Hump the new 'most hated guy in the NBA.' They have the motive & the means to do so, as well, especially given that Hump's juss a roleplayer (that he's a damn good one is beside's the point, of course) caught up in a comical situation.

Please elaborate on the means.
