Yeah, but they're not going to be taking Bargnani and any other long term contract... they're trying to cut luxury tax... it's not happening... everybody needs to chill.

Go Raps!

Was watch Score Live today, and one of the guys suggested trading Bargnani for Marc Gasol..... Memphis will just hang up and bill the Raptors for time.

Some people undervalue Bargnani and some overvalue. It's about finding that happy medium. That's where Gasol comes in. A trade that works for both clubs.

Hope it doesn't happen cause Gasol is on the downside of a great career. Last thing this team needs is another aged former all-star that maybe has 1-2 decent years left. PASS on that - not with an asset like JC and AB . And for the record AB's worth more than posters here give him credit for - his output equals what he makes.

I'll give you 3 billion reasons why you're wrong Carp. IF it makes sense for winning, then the Lakers will do it.

thankyou. only reason people here hate him is cause we don't have a superstar or all star and expect Bargnani to be that guy. NEWS FLASH! he doesn't make their money.

for comparison's sake: deandre jordan makes slightly less than bargnani... YUP!

You probably said the same thing when the Raps signed Hakeem and Jermaine. Gasol will end up being just another on that list.

I wasn’t pulling for the Jermaine O’Neal trade at the time and was even more surprised when we actually included a pick in the trade. Similarly, Hakeem was hitting 40 and we gave up picks and offered him a multi-year deal. Gasol’s injury troubles are somewhat being overblown. He’s still outperforming Bargnani and has interest from other clubs – Minnesota (they’re reportedly offering a decent return). To my knowledge, I don’t think Pau Gasol has had a prior knee surgery and declined one in the offseason. Let’s face it: There aren’t people knocking on our door willing to give us an all-star type wing for Bargnani. Gasol expires after next season and that gives us flexibility to either sign him if he works out or utilize that space for a free agent. I can’t really see us acquiring anything significant back for Calderon and Bargnani in a trade with another team. There would have to be a third team included. Something along the lines of Gasol heading to Minnesota, and Williams and Pekovic heading our way.
