Jose is having a great year, unfortunately the reason and only reason why he will not be going as a coaches selection is because he was not getting the starts and the minutes. If you check the stats Jose is right in there with the best in the east. It should be Bosh and Jose and Bargs as our reps at the allstar game. I believe Bargs is going anyway to play in the sophmore game.

Don't forget Moon in the dunk contest and Kapono in the 3 point contest

Maybe Jose can join that skills game.

I'm not saying he's not having a stellar year, but allstars carry their teams, they win games by themselves....they define they're team's style. Jose doesn't do any of those things... he scores a few points very efficiently and takes care of the ball very well. He always looks for his teammates and is a very effective point guard...but all star? Not now. Stats aren't everything, and if they were, Jose's stats aren't stellar..they're very good. Allstars are stellar.

Is that just a rumour or is it official yet with Moon competing in the dunk contest?

If so, it might finally add some excitement to a currently boring competition.

Naw, nothings for certain. But you're right, its been pretty boring the last few years. The only highlight I can even remember is Nate retaking that dunk over and over. I can't even remember who won it last year.

Gerald Green.

While i admit the dunk contest has sucked in recent history two years ago with Nate vs Iggy was pretty exciting. I thought Dwights 12' 4" tap dunk was sick and Iggy's behind the backboard which should have won him the contest. I think Jamario would be a great addition to the contest...might build on the recent upswing for the contest.

i think toronto will have a few players this season competing in the festivities...
Moon in the dunkoff would be fantastic! i'd actually want to watch that snorefest...

and kapono will definitely be in the 3pt shootout to defend his title... and Parker should be there too, he's 3rd in 3pt %.

I really hope Carter doesn't get in. He doesn't deserve to be an all-star this year and I'll be really pissed if he still gets a look because he had a couple of spectacular dunks five years ago.

For some reason, I have this bad feeling Jamario would break a leg or something if he was in a dunk contest. Either that or some kind of freak accident. I don't know why, just a feeling...
