Knicks Will Bargnani get booed when he returns as a Knick?

So... 2 simple questions...

Since Bargs now is on a division rival and we'll be seeing him quite often next season...

1. Do you think he will get boo'd upon his return to the ACC
2. Would you boo him if you happen to be at the game..

If people boo Bargnani because other people (GM, coach, fans) projected him to be better than he was, they are fools.

He never bigged himself up, he just played basketball and ended up being the #1 pick in the draft. The organization made a bad pick, he shouldn't have been given a huge contract and we are fortunate to get rid of him.

Time to move on. Booing Bargnani is showing that you care about his existence and he has given us no reason to.

No reason to boo ...
Bargs is a decent person, with excellent bb talent, and minimal mental / leadership skills

Lets move on ... wish him well in NYC

We booed him when he played for the Raptors, so he will be booed also as a Knick.

He'll probably get booed. I couldn't care less if he does. I'll avoid going to NYK games or watching NYK/Raps games. Seen enough of that guy since 2006.

We should cheer loudly when he comes on the floor. It will confuse him totally. He'll think we're cheering him and lose any chip on his shoulder and play like the Bargnani we've all come to love. We'll actually be cheering for us. Because he isn't ours. Fucking finally.

If he does well as a knick: "WHY COULDN'T YOU DO THAT HERE"

If he sucks as a knick: "YOU STILL SUCK BARGNANI"

Such is the life of a toronto sports fan.

Knowing Bargnani and his play under pressure, him being booed would make him play like dirt, so yeah boo his ass. That way he'll go 2-16 and we'll have a better chance at winning.

There is really no reason to boo him, but he probably will be. Only due to the fact that so many Raptors fans are idiots.

i won't boo him, but there is plenty of reason to do so. he was passionless about the way he played. he didn't try, he shrunk away from challenges and generally played like a total pussy every year he was an nba'er. as long as booing is in any way acceptable, he's a prime candidate. add to that the probability that it will throw him off his game, and he's even more of a a prime candidate.

i don't think that makes me an idiot. but go for it. show me how i am...

100% he'll be booed...like Jeff said he was booed as a Raptor, if anything it will get worse.

For me I can see how people would justify booing him. There's this whole perception that he gave up, wasn't trying, didn't care, etc, and it came through blatantly on the court. People booed Vince when he came back because he gave up, wasn't trying, didn't care, etc. The only difference between the two situations is Vince was a little more vocal.

If we're being honest here, I'll boo him. I booed Vince, so I'll boo Andrea.

So because he didn't morph into some aggressive player worthy of a #1 overall selection that's his fault?

Bargnani is a laid back dude. That's his personality. Wolves are wolves and sheep are sheep. Bargnani was never a wolf.

Not too mention we didn't utilize him properly. His skill set is a 6th man off the bench to provide scoring, period.

He was drafted to be a franchise player but that shoe never fit. Bargnani will be a solid role player for the Knicks and that's his ceiling.

so why can't we boo? you get paid that way to play a game, you can't be a laid back dude anymore. time to man up - he didn't. that's weak. really, really weak. it's not about being #1, it's about effort. the nba has no room for sheep.

Well said.

I remember this season him getting outmuscled and outplayed by Luke Walton.

1. Do you think he will get boo'd upon his return to the ACC. Absolutely.
2. Would you boo him if you happen to be at the game.. Absolutely.

Honestly, he tanked the past few seasons. We booed VC for not giving full effort, why the hell should it be any different with Bargnani? He could have improved as a player, and worked harder to be in better shape, and also become a defensive player/rebounder, but chose not to because he's a lazy POS. He didn't admit to not trying like VC, but you could see it everytime he stepped on the court. That's my rationale for booing, it's not that he didn't live up to expectations, it's that he chose not to work hard to even attempt to come close to living up to them.

To all the people saying why boo him, lets just move on, it's not that simple. Bargnani played like horseshit while on this team, and on top of that never put in the effort to become a better player. He was a lazy waste-of-space that would not defend or rebound, but still expected to play because of his offensive talent. Colangelo backed him for so long just to try to justify picking him first overall in 2007 and ultimately the team suffered for it. So I will definitely boo him to death because he very well deserves it.
