my point is, you build around a guy if you have THE guy. don't build around a guy for the sake of having to chose a guy.
You missed my original point then..... I said we're only building around him because there is no one else... until JV comes over. You've got to build around something or else you become like Washington and Sacramento. Would you rather we not build around Bargnani and instead build around bench players lile Ed Davis? It's all semantics.... you just build. If we get to the point where Bargnani gets traded, we adjust. If JV and AB work well together, they both likely stay long term. It's pretty simple.

The argument isn't 'he only makes this much'.... it's more that it's already established Bargnani will never be as good as Dirk, much like DeRozan will never be Kobe Bryant. It's fruitless to compare them and slam our guy because he doesn't match up.

Are there 3 superstars currently available to sign outright?

Close enough. Sign Nash, play Deron at the 2, and trade our whole team and draft pick for Dwight.

Bargnani might not have the nose for the ball..
btw Bargnani playing outside has nought to do with his poor rebounding. No one demands offensive boards from him, so you can just stop with that excuse!
..but Bargnani's help D is minging! What goes on in his head when a guard cuts through the middle of the lane, as he stands by the side of the paint?! I don't understand how any coach would not be able to explain to Bargnani, that he can't just stand and watch in one session!!!
Even if he gets you more points than he loses, it's impossible to have a system in place with such players. You can't make a stop, you can't win. Every player has lapses of concentration sometimes, but AB has it all the time. Our guards cannot play as aggressively knowing AB stands behind them waiting for a tea bag.
He's not asked to jump higher, bulk up or slim up. Be a lump but a lump in the way for opposition not a lump on a side!

I critique both DD and Bargs however DD can literally only do 2 things: get to the line (which is great) and shoot a mid range shot, other than that though...

i still think its arguable that he has a mid range shot
sure, there are days he's knocking them down, but there is an equal or greater number of days he clangs them off the rim consistently or even air balls them
to me you have to be able to do it on a consistent basis to consider someone to have that ability, he's more of a i'm on fire or not kind of player

I'm tired of all this Bargs bullshit ... lets trade him and then complain about how we made a big mistake.

On 10 to 16 footers, Demar shoots about .402 - that's pretty bad.

people are going to call me crazy, but i think Ilyasova>Bargs and if we can make a similar trade ( maybe even get some sweeteners) I would be more than happy.

You've fallen in love with a better team's role player. He's a good player but he's not the primary guy there.

Bargs and JV are going to be great together.... let's deal Amir for Ersan and be good to go. Add some cash and Milwaukee will be in heaven.

Ilyasova is 40 times better than bargnani. You can count your money on it.

FINALLY IM NOT THE ONLY ONE!

But really, Bargs should be a 6th man, nothing else. The only thing he knows how to do at all is score.
