Because he really sucks and is presumably really out of shape.

Are you kidding?

JO is like a 6-time all-star, a difference maker. He's actually proven he can play in the league. Jawai played in the Australian League - the AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE. I saw him play last weekend against Orlando. He needs A LOT of work - he looks lost out there on the court. The only reason why he's here and not in the D-League is because of the numbers game.

He's played five years of organized basketball against inferior competition.

He was so out of shape in Summer League he got hurt.

He coudn't even do anything physical for three and a half months.

What's so hard to understand?

If we have a 3 game skid anytime after the all-star break and we havent made any moves b4 the deadline.. I assume he will get some more playing time.

as of right now.. they give JO lots of minutes to show that he is able to play and to get his stock up (much more important for the raps future than developing the Australian version of Oliver Miller LOL <---- for the old school fans here).

No, he WONT get any playing time. At least not here. He might get assigned to the D-League, but that's it. You think he's going to take minutes away from O'Neal? Bargnani? He's not even better than Voskul. No way, not even if/when we're eliminated. He shouldn't be out there period. He's not ready. And when he's fully developped, he won't be more than a role player at best.

Jawai isn't the Australian version of Oliver Miller. Oliver Miller.. well, his ass had his own MP/congressman. Jawai isn't even close to that.

Jawai just isn't that good. You have to remember that the Raps play in the NBA, sometimes progress takes time.

Did you see when he was out there in garbage time last weekend? He looked lost. Out of all the games he's been dressed in, do you know in how many games he's appeared in? 2. Do you know how many minutes he's played in total this year? 3 and a half. Do you know why? Because he's not ready. And even in garbage time, Triano is hesitant in putting him in. You think this guy's gonna be some sort of superstar. Wrong.

Haha just look at his garbage minutes

Game 1 - Goes for skyhook and travels on only play

Game 2 - Airballs

He's fat and slow and scrubby. The whole league knew this guy would be a joke if he came to the NBA... another brilliant move by BC. I mean I know it's a 2nd rounder, but good players can be had. Though I'll give NJ a bit longer to prove himself

He has to prove something to YOU? Don't think so. He is what he is - a 2nd round flyer. Maybe with condititioning over the summer, summer league, big man camp, he can come into camp next year and compete for a roster post to be a servicable big man off the bench.

I hope one thing - that he gets some burn in practise, or at least doesn't get in the way
Practice against our bigs should get him in dunking mode in no time.

That's what YOU see, but the coaches gets to see them in practice. Nate wasn't able to work hard for an extended period of time, you can just throw him there. He needs to get in shape and to learn what he can do. Even before the draft, scouts had him like a raw player, really strong and promising but with a lot things still to be learn.

LOL re: JO ... Are you serious? I mean JO has a price tag of $21millions ... how can u send him in D-League? Get your act together, young man, you really become ridiculous with your whining!
