God and I thought there were heaps of fair-weathered fans in Australian Rules Football, but you guys are ridiculous!

You get stuck into a guy who has moved continents and has ony been in Canada for like 6 months. He gets drafted in the second round, and then gets the heart problem thing.

He basically can't do anything until the Doc says, and when he gets the go ahead of course he is out of shape.

He gets 45 seconds a game pretty much, and he gets ripped on for what he does in those 45 seconds!

Some of you guys are the epitome of bandwagon supporters, you love it when the goings good, but when things don't go your way you look for a scapegoat.

No offense, but I watched the summer league games. At times he was severly overmatched against guys that aren't good enough to make an NBA roster. What would make you think he's good enough right now to compete with the best of the best? He was also so out of shape in the summer that he got injured...this is all before the heart problem surfaced.

Man jawi looks fat wearing his raps gear at the begining of games. The guy is also having all sorts of problems adjusting to the NBA rules and style of game. I knowhe has a traveling problem beucase of the rules down south. THis guys really does need to be in d luege right now but beucase of how thin our roster is he needs to be on the bench just in case. so its a loose loose

" Big Nate" as you call him is a rookie, and not a very good one at that. Bad combination in the NBA.

Let him watch from the bench for a while.
work his ass off in practice.
then watch some more from the bench.

Then around March - April put Nate in the field so he can get used to playing in the NBA, I think he's going to be a great player soon enough, just not now.

he has played a total of 5 minutes.....

it took JO about 3 years in the league to get any sort of minutes.

2 months ago you guys were all over Bargnani saying he was a waste of a number 1 pick now most of you want to bend him over.

give the lad some time for truck sake, he has had a lot of set backs this season

This is totally funny that all you so called experts can make determinations about a player in what 5 minutes of real time? And it is garbage time so what the hell can you expect from anyone when haif the guys on the floor are mailing it in.

As for him getting hurt in summer league that is untrue and wrong. He was hurt heading into summer league as he picked up an injury in the draft workouts. But hey I only interviewed the guys coach from Australia so maybe we are wrong and you are right. LOL than again.

Nathan does need time be it here or in the D-League. Given the state of this team why not let it be here. Is Jake Voskhul getting resigned? NO. Will J.O even be here by next season? Unclear but not likely so why the heck not have him go out there and learn playing meaningful minutes. I mean go buy a clue trying to make evaluations of a guy in 5 minutes of Garbage time. Master P made a 3 pointer in pre-season based on that should the Raptors have signed him up? That is about as logical as making evaluations based a such a small sample. The guy might have been a bit over excited based on all he has been through and getting out on the floor finally? I mean honestly the general negative mood around here is bad enough without this kind of total stupidity.

Maybe I was wrong about when he got hurt, but he was grossly out of shape and it led to him being injured. I guess it was in a workout for San Antonio, not Summer League.

i find it funny guys with aussie flags that never post or rarely post coming outta the woodwork to defend they boi!!! I respect that, but fact is, he hasnt proven shit so far and has looked piss poor in the summer league and im betting is looking piss poor in practice. Bringing up JO is funny, he got no PT in portland thats why it took him so long, and his upside and potential was light years ahead of Nate.

JO came to the NBA out of highschool and by the time he was Jawai's age (22) he was averaging 13/10 and 3 blocks. Not the best comparison.

Honestly, at this point I see Jawai as being the next Pape Sow. He needs to get into MUCH better shape to even hope to be effective at the NBA level.

If Jawai comes to training camp next year in tremendous shape, then I think he could have an impact because, though raw, he's athletic and has a power game. But if he has any more health problems/diagnoses than his NBA career is done because his window is now.

I agree that he has to work as hard as he can to be effective at NBA level. I made the JO comparison because it takes time for young players in this league and it is silly to write them off at such an early stage of their career.

I'd say the majority of NBA 2nd round picks don't show much in their first 3 weeks in the league (which is essentially how long Nate has been in the league for)

Were you expecting Shaquille O'Neal straight out of the box? FFS give the guy a chance to get settled and get his body right.
