CB4 has a player option for the 2010/2011 season for 17 Mil in a year where he would be targeted but not as much as some other players (namely LBJ).So my thinking is, why wouldn't he take the 17Mil (not chump change) then see who the Raptors can get,see where everyone else goes and make his decision based on all of the movement+ Raptors standing in the NBA.Therefore if he choses to, he'd the main coveted FA in 2011.Giving BC every oportunity to make us a true contender and keeping him here.I truely believe CB4 really likes Toronto and if we make the right moves he stays past 2011.

I'm tired of the BS stories coming out of the U.S NBA media saying Bosh will leave T.O!

Gary Payton thinks it's a shoe in he will stay. But yes many American media outlets just assume he will leave, im not so sure. It's about as dumb an arguement that he is 100% leaving as the one alot of Raptors fans say.... "why would he want to represent a city when right now he represents an entire country"... probably because you can make more in endorsements playing in the USA then you can representing the entire massive, basketball crazy country of Canada. Not saying he will leave, just saying both arguements are silly, ill give Chris the benefit of the doubt and see what happens, but as i said before, if in his mind leaving is a real possibility, i hope he is man enough to let management know long before hand.

I just think that if we're near the top of the East and can contend for championship he'll pick up his option. And as for the endorsement deal money. He has an endorsement deal with Adidas and he has his own shoe. How much more would he realisticly get in the U.S with LBJ,Kobe,CP3,Wade,Rose,Beasly and guys like that probably hogging most of the endorsements anyway.Minus maybe Kobe because in 3 years he'll be on the decline realisticly!

But alot of it depends on BC staying!

They always want contract security so they look for a long term contract. If that means opting out for one years pay when they can get 6 they'll take it.

The reason American reporters think CB will leave is because he is a rising star that they want to see play in America. They think all americans that are good should play there. Yea I know it is BS but what can you do about it

Did anyone else notice Bosh's frustration in the last game? He looked like he was going to explode everytime someone missed their assignment. And, to tell you the truth, I think it would have been better if he did.

I agree. The truth is it is all based on B.S. I think first one I remember hearing was Bosh to Orlando because he is buddies with Dwight Howard. I laugh. I mean bloggers get a bad rap for making up stuff. But the real media does the same kind of crap. It really is funny what little info it can take to make a rumour like this pop up on an ESPN or other major sites.

I try not to do much of that stuff. If I ever say anything it is just me saying my opinion and I make that clear.

So good job Jeff and never change that photo. It is proof to me I can find a NON-Blonde women attractive!!!

whether he picks up his option or not, its likely he will change teams IF a great opportunity appears or he gets insane money contract for 6 years.
As much as I love him, I wouldn't want raps to give such contract to him. Rather give it to some other star as incentive for Bosh to stay

the us media is not saying he will leave, there was an idiot on NBA.tv (aldridge) who said that. Everything else is speculation, and marked as such. Nobody is saying "Bosh will leave", they're saying "Detroit is targetting Bosh", which is true, just like they target every other big time agent. There will be lots of great players on the market that season (lebron, wade, amare, nowitzki, bosh, ginobili etc) - and most of them will choose to resign with their team (as history tells us).
