Who's the better 'prospect'? James Johnson or DeMar?

So, I've been thinking. It was assumed that DeRozan was going to be that 'star' player. Still maybe. But Johnson has been a pretty good player with some playing time.

Therefore, who's the better prospect? Will Johnson or DeRozan be the better player in their career?

Sidenote: I've been really impressed by James Johnson so far this year. He's been effective both offensively and defensively.

Demar.

Why?

Because i thought that a month ago and it'll take alot more than a month to change my mind. I think Demar has more upside. And i'd like to know where you think Johnson has been effective on offense this season? Are you kidding?

JJ is a backup and we seriously need a real SF to be our starter. Derozan right now is playing like a backup but i think he'll have the better career.

Amir Johnson

Both players with problems in the head. JJ starting to get himself together, Demar with right attitude as well.

I am cfomfortable with both as our starters for enxt couple years

i think johnson is a better prospect for casey's system

DeRozan is 2.5 years younger and has shown more growth in his time in the league than Johnson has. I think he's the better prospect.

Neither.

Agreed. JJ seems to be grasping concepts much faster than DD is. I like the fact that he's showing a more complete game and has an impact on the floor even when he's not scoring.

i like both players.
maybe DD has more upside, and with casey he can learn defense. i really think he does mprove a lot this season (charge for example). last night maybe only 11pts, but 7 rbd, 2ast, 1blk, that a solid game, even if he don't score as we would want, that solid. and he does a good job on defense. like i said, i give him some time to figure out how to transform and adapt in this system.

JJ is a solid sf/pf. he shows he has what is needed to be in the rotation. he has some energy on the floor to attack the rim or the opponant on D. Yesterday 13pts, 1blk, 2st, and only 4rbd.

but really id on't see how for now you can say who will be the best. I think their style and play complete each other. when the two will be on the same page, that can be a solid pair.

BUt DD can become something special when he will consistently be a solid defender.

Demar has shown the ability to have an impact without scoring, and considering the overall level of offensive development with this team, that's enough for me not to give up on him.

JJ has figured out his role very nicely and that makes him look much better at the moment. There's no reason DD can't do the same thing. It would be nice if he had a vet that could help with that cause like what JJ was exposed to in Chicago. Barbosa isn't what he should be referencing all that much.
