I vote Bosh because he is averaging much higher numbers.

Bosh: 27ppg/12rbpg
Amare: 20ppg/8rbpg

its a tossup really...both cant/wont play defense....both are good offensively....neither are leaders....and neither are "max players" IMO...the only difference being, Stoudemire is a classless prick and Bosh isnt....and thats probably why i would take bosh...

I'd take Bosh. But if Stoudamire were alot cheaper he'd be the better choice. Bosh simply isn't worth max $$.

Bynum is a lazy defender, he gets a lot of stupid fouls. Think back to the playoffs, this dude must have been averaging 4 or 5 fouls a game.

Bosh tends to stay relatively healthy in comparison to Amare. However, Amare's goggles are tres funkay. I choose Das Goggle.

well we can't really acquire duncan or gasol as they are backbone franchise players.

and no way is bynum a better offensive player than bosh, he needs to be very near the rim to be effective.

it seems that Bosh is probably one of the best C/F's in the NBA.

playing with the best passer in the league, on a run n gun offense, and he's only putting up 20 a game.... if bsh was on the suns, the guy would be the biggest name in basketball right now.

Bosh is the best offensive big man in the league, tbh.

I'd prefer Bosh over Stoudamire any day of the week

however i would prefer Nash over Calderon.

Bosh!

Like d. Howard said, the best part of Amare's game is Steve Nash.

LOL, can you link me to that please. thats very funny.

back to topic though, even though Bosh is probably top 3 if not top 5 big man, why is it that i feel like we could do better with a more traditional big man?

I'd go with Bosh because of the numbers as well.

The Chris Bosh of this this season over Amare of this season, because Bosh is playing better individually. Amare has had multiple surgeries already, so he doesn't bode well for the future. Amare is a worst defender than Bosh, both help defence and individual defence. I like Bosh's attitude better, better locker room guy in my opinion, but that's subjective to some degree. Both are not natural leaders, but if I had to pick one, it would be Bosh, hes willing to learn more. Amare is definately a better athlete, so a plus there, but we still come back to the surgery issue. Lastly in my opinion, Amare is a bit overrated because of the system he plays in. I think Bosh would be more able to play in different systems and still be a high caliber player, rather than Amare playing in a different system (that might be because he's played in only one system really all his career).

thanks

Well it is Bosh and he is likely the best big man in the league.
Who would you trade him for straight up?
Garnett is great but on the downside because of age as well as Duncan.
Howard great again but has flaws such as a major liablity late in games because of foul shooting.
Gasol great but on a great team.....how would he be on a lesser team?????
Amare like how he plays but also has Nash!!!!!!
If we lost Bosh......Boozer the closet thing to Bosh but in the past injury prone???
For all of you that complain about Bosh he still has 5 to 6 years at the current level or better. The reality is that he will get the max and likely deserves it.
Again we are 14 games into the season with one of the toughest schedules.

what? you got to be kidding me, remember a guy named "shaq", one of the most dominant players of the last 2 decades, has/had the same problem....i would trade Bosh for howard any day of the week....in fact i would be willing to give them 2 first rounders aswell....but magic would never do it....

Howard ain't no Shaq.
I said Howard is great but he won't have Shaq's career and he isn't available.

so youd rather have Bosh because howard isnt a good free throw shooter?
