Bayless I have a feeling may be gone, since we declined his option. Magloire some reason I see him becoming a better coach than player, so could possibly be an assistant (D. Martin anyone?). I think players who are on the fence in terms of what happened this season is Bargnani, Davis Kleiza. I know many people are going to use injuries as excuses for the case of Bargnani + Kleiza, but Bargnani played real well before he had his calf injuries and went back to his old self. Could be a possible chance where BC May want to unload him. Davis, it seems like Casey prefers Amir more as he began to receive more minutes later on in the season. Other than that, I can see most of the other players returning. Calderon is an expiring so ehere would not be any rush to unload him or amnesty

Yes that is what his minutes went up later on as the season went by. As well he mas the most potential and most teams would be interested in him over Amir imo. Davis could possibly net us a PG and or SF. With given mins he's capable to be a consistent 10/10 player, any team would dream of that

The way Casey is talking about Ed and really looking at Amir's inconsistent play this season i would say Amir is more likely to be moved. But this is why it's going to be an interesting summer. A lot of possibilities. I expect a lot of movement.

I would say that both of them are inconsistent. But Ill go with 1 of these 2 scenarios:

A. If Bargnani is Traded, Davis stays as starter 4 and Amir is gone
B. If Bargnani is a Raptors, Amir stays and Davis is traded

A. Davis is a much better capable starter when he slowly develops. Plus a trade of Bargnani + Amir can possibly get us something we need to fill a hole. Downside is We dont know how JV will pan out, but Im sure at the start of the season it would begin with Ed and Gray if it happened thus we wont be able to spread the floor and clog up the lanes

B. As stated Davis has much more potential and teams would prefer that over Amir. With added weight a better developed post moves he'll be mint for a team to wanting to take this chance. As well PGs come a dime a dozen in this league so if they trade, one they have another chance of picking another one

Ill say this is what our summer is going to look like most likely revolving around these players

PG:
caldy : i wouldn't mind if he come back for a last year or a half year and be trade before the deadline if it doesn't go well.
Bayless : I'm not a fan. not a fan of his game, and not a fan of his personnality. so i hope we don't sign him, and be careless with our capspace.
Ueoh: i am really please and surprise by him. i really think he can be a solid 3rd pg for next season, and for cheap. and some NBA experience (especially with jose out so often) can be reveal him next season.
DD: i will be hear an i think he will be way better next season.
Forbes : Not sold on him, but as a 3rd sg, he has some value especially with his contract.
anderson : he is a solid revelation for this team. but we would not have enough room for everybody. but i prefer him compare to forbes at the same position.
JJ : to me a solid backup Forward. keep him.
Kleiza : I never was sold on him, i'm hping he is gone next season to make room.
Barg : if he is traded i will not be pissed.
Davis : same as for Barg, but if barg is gone, keep him, he could surprise us more than barg. but i don't see him as good as a bosh, and i never tough Bosh was a superstar, so that says all.
Amir : a bad season so far as i'm concerned. but he is by far with JJ the best competitor on this team. a keeper, especially as a backup PF. (not Center)
Gray : a nice confirmation of my past opinion of him last season in NOH. solid backup Center, who does a great job when he is on the floor.
Magz : to me if he back, make him an assistant Big men. i like him. so maybe.
alabi : if we could a would send him in europe, make him become stronger. (make an exhcnange with the club of JV, and make him work hard).

keeper : DD, JJ, Amir, JV, Gray.
asset to be trade to improve (or not) : caldy, Barg, Davis, 1st pick 2012.
fillers in trade talk : kleiza, forbes, 2*2nd round.
end of the becnh maybe : uzoh, anderson, Magz, Alabi
not keeper : Bayless

to me the next season roster could be something like that :

???/Caldy/uzoh
DD/???/anderson
???/JJ/???
Bargs/Amir/???
JV/Gray/magz/alabi

I agree with your list, but I think Kleiza is on the bubble. I dont think anyone wants him though.

It's hard to say with this team. As BC keeps preaching, we are basically a team of young assets. Anyone could be traded and I think anyone will be traded this off season if the right deal comes along.

The only players who are safe are Bargnanni and Val.

I could see us retaining Gray, Forbes and James Johnson for backup roles.

Kleiza could stick around just because of his contract unless he's a throw in in a bigger trade.

very likely not to return:
jj, bayless, forbes

somewhat likely they'll go
calderon, amir, davis, uzoh, magloire

unlikely
demar, kleiza, gray, anderson, alabi

very unlikely
bargnani

bargnani will stay unless we get davis or somebody blows us out with an offer, which is not going to happen. Everybody else will stay and go depending on who we draft/acquire.

we have a bunch of guys who will be quite cheap and thus useful as 9-15 on the roster scale, but we can only have so many scrubs. If we acquire two wings and we keep demar, forbes and jj are probably gone.

If jose stays, I think we'll get rid of bayless (and viceversa), uzoh can do the backup job almost as bad as him and he'll be much cheaper. WHen we get a starting quality PG, jose will probably slide to backup, so I don't see us having a need for bayless.

as far as amir/ed, it's pretty clear one has to go, I would say it's almost 100% one will be traded, but who exactly will be up in the air throughout the free agency probably.

the other decision is between gray and magloire, and I have a feeling we'll move magloire to assistant coaching and keep gray who is much younger, unless somebody overpays him.

By position, my predictions are:
PG: Jose/Bayless/Uzoh ( at most we'll keep two, bayless most likely to go)
Wing: Demar/Forbes/JJ/Anderson/Kleiza (at most we'll keep 3, jj and forbes are the likely goners)
PF: andrea/ed/amir (we'll keep w, ed is the most likely to go, but amir is close behind)
C: Gray/Magloire/Alabi (we'll keep 2 and market forces will probably dictate who).

I just remembered that we have 3 (!) picks this draft.
Although I usually want to keep most our players, especially young ones, it seems that quite a few must go, only 15 roster spots.

I do hope BC doesn't draft big men. First we already have plenty second they take too long to develop.
That means we draft PG or wing.

Stay: Bargnani, Derozan, Calderon, Valanciunas, JJohnson, Kleiza, Amir, Gray, Uzoh
On bubble: Davis, Forbes, Anderson, Alabi
Leave: Magloire, Bayless (wants to start too much)

I have my doubts we'll keep those 2nd rounders.

Draft is 50 deep. Think we will keep both though only if one player stays overseas. Too many rookies.

It would be awesome if the raps got Jae Crowder in the 2nd rounder. He's like JJ but with better shooting, is primarily a SF but can play SG and even PF. He also has better decision making than JJ.
