They seem like nice players, but that could be the difference between a Rafer Alston and a Chris Paul.

Hasn't everyone had enough? Even local media are saying this team will stink for the next 10 years. Well, it does not have to. This is a huge chance to be respectable....for a few years and with the right pieces become along the lines of Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio. Contending for years and a destination for free agents. A little pain is totally worth it.

I would absolutely love to have Kyrie Irving or Harrison Barnes on the Raps. Even Perry Jones would be great, even though he is a bit of a project. This upcoming draft is looking very strong. But BC has made an incredibly mediocre team this year and we pbly wont get any of the aforementioned players.

we need a PG

its hard to feel good about the teams future when both of our well paid PGS get schooled by our well paid 3rd string PG

we need Kyrie

by the way I think with Rubio's recent failures Kyrie Irving could be the best young PG not playing in the NBA right now

Noooooo! Am I gonna have to start praying for a few Barbosa hamstring pulls? I hope whoever picks before the Raps, falls in love with the big men. Otherwise, what's it gonna tale to move up in the draft? If the TPE is not used by then, even that will not have expired before the draft.

Off-topic, but the title of this post reminds me of the song Milhouse's Dad did on the Simpsons - "Can I Borrow A Feeling?"

Carry on.

Could we please draft someone that cares to win and someone that gives a shit about defense, and is tall enough to play it.

Kyrie Irving has asked that Raptors fans put their hands in his glove of love.

A select few will understand that, but that's fine.

Think about where Portland would be if they drafted Durant.
guards this and guards that. It's like all you need is a SG and PG combo and you got yourself a championship. If you may have noticed, amir, reggie evans and klezia is the only option we have other than Bargnani at the frontcourt, that being said. We are so fucked.

Again with this durant in portland, of course he was the better player, but if he went to portland would he really get that much touches as he did during his 2007-2008 rookie season in seattle? besides having roy and durant would just create problems making roy dominate the ball and durant stuck to becoming a spot up jumpshooter. Also at the time portland needed a big, the only problem is that oden is 40 and has knee problems and they just didn't

Jones is not only a combo PF/C but he's versatile, drawing comparisions to Tmac and Garnett, and wouldn't you like a hybrid scoring garnett type player beside Bargnani instead of a traditional center like bynum? Besides being versatile would develop a player alot faster and when was the last player that can play up to 2 - 3 positions that busted hard other than jared jeffries?

Both centre and PG need to be addressed. But they are not about to be addressed this week. Even if we brought in a PF/C, we'd still have turnstile PG defense and a running offense that's just out for a nice jog. And we can all see for ourselves what "skilled" big men like Bargs, Bosh, O'neal can do without that super PG.

If this is going to be the core, then there aren't enough guys that can create their own shot on this team, and there really hasn't been since Wince left.
Yes, we still have to see if a guy like Kyrie can develop and learn more, but.

-We've been complaining that our point guards can't defend....he does, apparently like a pit bull.
-That we need someone who can break down defenses....he does and may be unguardable one on one.
-gets to the rim....he does
-character guy....seems like it
-hits the 3....he does
-court vison and ball distribution....check
-pick and roll ability....big check
-leadership void....check
athleticism and hops...big check

They cannot afford to draft one more guy who "may develop skill some day".
If there is a guy out there who already shows tremendous skill and athleticism at another position, great.
But to me, I'm seeing so much more success witha premier PG and just a serviceable centre.

I think some of the tradeable assets will get you a serviceable centre, but how many teams are going to just hand over a superhero PG right now? It's got to have to happen through the draft. If it looks like that premier PG is there, don't pass him up!

I'm with ya'. Colangelo needs to find a way to steal Marc Gasol from Memphis and then use our lotto to get a stud PG.

60 losses by 5 points or fewer would be awesome. The games would be close enough that the young players are on the verge of winning, yet the Raps would lose enough games to get their high lotto pick.

Barnes and Irving are 1A and 1B, I'd be happy with any of them
theres a lot of PFs and Jones has to really separate him self to be in the top 2 convo
Josh Selby is going to be the best scorer in the draft, but is an undersized 2 guard
If we dont get one of the top 2 picks, look out, cause another Euro big man could come our way

and steal Marc

Raptors

I know, I know, the team may end up in the end just a little too good for a high pick.....but in case you're wondering how he's doing, Kyrie is currently leading the #1 ranked in the country, 8W - 0L, Duke Blue Devils and is starting to look like he is the real deal. And now, let's go to some video.....

As for the other 2 biggies, Perry Jones is doing just O.K. He could be a worse free throw shooter than Dwight and SHAQ though.

And Harrison Barnes is struggling and taking heat:
