Default Who really is a franchise player?

CB4 is the without a doubt the best power forward in the league right now, so heres my question, if he's the best power forward right now then no other pf in the league right now is a franchise. And I'm talking about right now from this moment on, so i don't want to hear duncan used to be and stuff like that. Try and answer without a raps bias like saying its cause hes in toronto they don't think he's good enough to be a franshise. Also remeber hes just hitting his prime...

I just wanna see what you guys think about that, so what other pf in the league right now is a franchise if Bosh isnt?

Zach Randolph. Averaging 20.5 and 11.6 and his team is winning He now has a changed attitude and the will to win. What more describes a franchise player?

Kobe could play the 4. I heard in the off-season Kobe worked out with Hakeem the Dream to improve his right hook.

Are you saying Bosh is not a frachise player?
If that you think that who is a franchise player?
Just LJames, D Wade, C Bryant?

I would say Darko Milicic is NY franchise player.

Is that offensive to franchise players?

well position has nothing to do with it. Technically speaking all franchise players could be guards.
But I'm guessing if they think he's not franchise worthy then they probably don't think he's the best power forward either.

For me the term franchise is in a way vague.
It means the leader of a team, with the biggest pay checque and who puts up the best numbers and hopefully the biggest plays.

If that is franchise player, then Bosh is a franchise player no doubt.

But I think some people look beyond that, and perhaps only call some players franchise if they actually deliver on their promise by leading their team to at least the Finals or a Championship.

What I mean is, that franchise players can flop. Injuries have a lot to do with that too but also some players just can't deliver or carry their team to the greatness that was expected of them. In that sense, signing any franchise player to a big contract is always a huge gamble, and the franchise status of all franchise players can be weighed and questioned on that basis.

Bosh will get maxed, but the real question is, can he lead (t)his team to greatness.

Bingo...
For me Kevin Garnet did not just become a franchise player when he was teamed up with 2 more franchise players and a future franchise player.

KG was a franchise-level talent even when he was in Minny.

He was just surrounded with crap for most of his career there.

Same goes for Bosh.

How many titles do you think TD would have "led" his team to without Parker and Manu? And Robinson?

don't agree that KG only had junk. they went to the Finals too btw. but imo true franchise players retire with the team they got drafted by.

I am not sure if you missunderstood what I was saying ir if I missunderstand you. But is was saying KG was a franchise player before he was in Boston.
I said "did not just become a franchise player when " meaning he was franchise player before the move to Boston.
