In all likelyhood, we're not getting LBJ. Barely any chance of landing Wade or Amare. So who's left? I personally think that Joe Johnson is my best bet for another all-star signing in Toronto. He can create his own shot and dish the ball to his team mates. That's just my opinion.

What do you guys think? Which big name free agent might we have at the end of the summer of 2010?

I have hard time to believe that LBJ/Wade/Amare will came to play for Toronto. If Raptors can get Joe Johnson, I will be happy. Lineup of Bosh, Bargnani, Johnson, Calderon sounds like a keeper.

JJ is an amazing player, but he would want to be "the man" on the team which is why he left Phoenix, but this team belongs to Bosh

I think we trade the contract at the deadline. Makes more sense to me, as it's a sure thing

Or maybe most likely, JO and his expiring are gone far before then.

I tend to think that as well. If the raps were to land another big name, then they would have to most likely go over the tax level to ensure that the team is a title contender. And, I'm not so sure they will.

NBA players are pricks, no one wants comes to Canada. Bosh we drafted, Carter we drafted, along with a long list of trades and drafts, but none have stood out to be a decent signing.

Specifically American players need to realize that Toronto has more to offer than many other NBA cities

Agents have sold players a bill of goods about taxes and lack of publicity and all of that. I would say Nash would be likely to come and Raps will have a chance to keep Bosh. People keep forgetting the team that can offer the most cash is Toronto. So I can see Bosh signing and giving B.C a year to make it work regardless of what happens in the next season and a half. If I was his agent that is what I would advise. Same goes for James and even Wade. I mean we have seen many players force a trade in the past. So it makes sense to sign where you get get the most.

That's exactly right. Why go to Canada were it snows or to watch your signature shoe sales go down (cough Starbury cough) when you can go to New York and make millions on that alone or tan on the beach in Miami.

I remember Antonio Davis said that he wanted his kids learn American history and learn their units, not Canada's metric system. What an idiot. And Oakley who said he didn't like going through customs while some dog sniffing their luggages as if they ever being threted like that! Idiot again. I agree most are uneducated pricks with sterotype views.
