Yes I know we have Wright to stop the Kobes and Wades but whose gonna stop LeBron. Tuk is is an average defender and Wright is too weak. B and B pansies and Rasho is too old. Maybe we should get Joey G. When we play Cleveland we will get punked sooo bad Lebron and SHaq will abuse our front court.

Every team in the league has been asking the same question for the past three years...

Nobody stops either player and suggesting Joey would be the answer is undeniably absurd. The fact is you try to slow them down a little (one way is getting them in foul trouble), but really, the main thing is not allowing the players around them to go off.

more like who can give them problems offensively, Turkoglu's height plus a double team from DeRozan or Wright for Lebron might help. Bargnani is 7 feet so a bit of an advantage over Dwight because Pau Gasol who is also a 7 footer gave him problems in the finals, with Bynum, another 7.

You can't fully shut them down defensively, that's like playing without the refs.

HAhahahahaha. We can't stop Kobe or Wade. We can slightly make them score less. Lebron is just unstoppable. Turk needs help to stop him but Lebron is still the King. The good thing is with Shaq taking up almost all of the paint, the King will shoot and he'll only light us up for 30!

you can't defend Kobe & Wade on a 1-on-1 scenario either just like LeBron. on the other hand, your chances are better to limit players like VC, Richard Jefferson, Iguadala w/o double-teaming..

You cannot stop players like LeBron and Howard...you can only hope to slow them down!

Overall it has to be a team effort i.e. help defense!

Individual defence isnt solely counted on now thanks to the introduction of zone defences and so many teams being creative with that. If you play really good team defence you can slow down the Cavs as a whole, and with Dwight you need a guy with good lower body strength to push him out and make him MAKE SHOTS as opposed to doubling him or putting a guy on him with nowhere near as much strength.

You cant stop Lebron at this point but you can shut down his teammates the way they run their offence and because of where Lebron attacks from. Its much easier slowing down a team who runs a majority of pick and rolls and isos at the 3 pt line rather than isos and post ups 15 feet away from the rim. Which is why if Lebron ever developed a post up game the team hes on would never lose.

In terms of how WE defend both guys, we have to try and cut off the 3 pt shot of CLE and rebound the ball for once, and with ORL we pray that Reggie Evans has Maxiell like lower body strength.

In other words, we are going to have to scramble like hell vs ORL since we have no one to stop Dwight, and CLE is the worst matchup in the NBA for us so we hope that the Shaq experiment goes horribly wrong, and they trade Shaq and then we'll have a better chance against them.

If BC gives me a max contract before training camp, than I'll gladly stop both.

I dont know about Dwight, but the only people even potentially capable of stopping Lebron one on one is maybe Mickael Pietrus (length), Kobe, Artest, and Battier.

Didn't that Kobe Bryant guy poured in 81 points when he was guarded by Joey Graham (and Jalen Rose)? When you defend good players as a team, the key is not to let them play their style and disturb them. Also if we move quicker in the offence, I'm sure at least that old fella will get tired easily and make mistakes.

We can't stop Lebron but we can stop the other 12 players on the roster which means that Lebron will have to score 80+

to slow down Dwight you shut down his passing lanes and make him shoot
keep him as far away from the basket as you can and hopefully when he tries to drive to the basket you take the charge
LeBron is almost impossible to stop, only thing you can do is contest his shot
when LeBron's on D get a physical player that drives to the basket and draws fouls (preferably a bench player that can afford to get some O fouls) , keeps LeBron off the court for a bit
