don't be a doorknob mike. that is what people were hoping for this summer when we were all talking about trading jose. your whole post is based on us getting rid of him for nothing, and, at least during this summer, no one was really talking about that. all that stuff was in years past when he was constantly injured, horrible defensively, still had multiple years on his contract, and when we were trying to tank.

if you could find a few posts that are talking about this from this summer it would help make your post look less like you are inventing something to argue against. and if you can only find one or two, it's hardly worth a thread where you expect recognition. this was just not a widespread opinion this summer, particularly after we got lowry.

nice try homeboy.

edit - oh, and by the way, throw 'calderon for rudy gay rumor' in google and see how many articles you get from the summer. iguodala too. this was talked about, and not just by us. if there are articles, it gets discussed here. that's basically par for the course. so, again, nice try homeboy.

The summer was choke-full of people wanting to amnesty Jose and/or trade him for a bag of oranges. If you'd like to go back and root in that garbage - go ahead, I will rely on my memory instead.

And frankly, I was not talking to you at all. Interestingly, Jeff hasn't posted in this thread at all, although he was most definitely one of the people I've been trying to address.

And about "homeboy" thing - I have been explained the meaning of the word and I still have no clue why would you call me that, especially knowing that I don't like it. If you are doing it especially to annoy me, things could be done to counter that.

.
so you're going to make this thread and then put it on everyone else to find the evidence so that they can give you the recognition you deserve?

holy hell, man. that's impressive...

Go through just this one thread, for instance: If Toronto acquires K.Lowry, what do they do with J.Calderon?

no, i'm saying it's super weak to give no evidence and expect others to come out of the wood work to give you recognition only you think you deserve.

i'm just glad you admit that is what you are doing so this thread can die now.

And I am not looking for recognition, in case you haven't noticed yet. Read the first post of the thread again - I wanted them to recognize their mistake in saying that this team is better off without Jose. I couldn't care less about my personal recognition within an online basketball forum.

They would have a lot better draft picks the last few years.

On the other hand, Jose (once again) is rising above the petty injustices and injuries and is leading the team to the best of his abilities.

All I want is some recognition and some contrition.
Don't take my words out of context. You don't work for Fox News by any chance, do you?

there is a big difference between saying "i want recognition" and "i want you to recognize what you said"

And yet that's precisely what I meant. Or would you imply that I meant contrition for myself as well?

that would not make any sense. the way you phrased it implied 'all i want is recognition and contrition [from you]"

anyways, that doesn't really matter. the main thrust of the thread is pointless. we're 3-7 with an injury to our starting pg, who is also best player. jose has been fantastic. no doubt. but we'd hardly be worse off without him since we're already terrible. and especially since most people calling for him to be traded were hoping to get a valuable piece in return.

since it is you requesting that people be contrite the onus should probably be on you to provide a real reason for them to do so.

i think we should definitely trade him if we can get a valuable starting player. anything else would just be as redundant as jose with a healthy lowry.
