Default where do you see Raptors next year ?

I know some of you will say it's early in the off-season to know what the roster will be.
but we can let's this thread open until we now and we can project... our hopes here.

so at which spot do you think in the east the raptor can be ?

let's see:

chicago, orlando and miami compete for the 1-2-3 spot

milwaukee-Atlanta-Boston for the 4-5-6

NY ?
Nets ?
Cleveland ?
Charlotte ?
Indiana ?
Detroit ?
Phily ?
Washington ?
Raptors ?

all to the 7-15 spot ?

so what do you think, hope, expect to see next year ?

personnaly i think toronto can be in the 8th-12th spot competition.

But reality is outhere, and the east conference can have some renforcement.

miami, chicago, NY and nets have make some moves, also boston (o'neal for perkins injury)

and it's not over so i think they will a much competitive estearn conference this year.

Charlotte and the Knicks will be competing for the 7-8 spots. We'll finish 10th.

Yeah, the Knicks, they have uhhhh Amar'e, who plays worse defense than Jose and consistently takes plays off. And uhhh? Wilson Chandler and Raymond Felton?

That team is better than one with Bargnani, a vastly improved DeRozan, Barbosa, Jack, Amir, Weems and Kleiza?

 Give me a break.

7-9th In the mix for 8th spot Charlotte/Toronto/Philly/NJ, possibly NY but I don't think they're even as good as what we'll end up being.

I agree completely. NY is about 10-11th imo. Right now they have little more then Amare/Felton/Gallo....worse D then us imo.

It's too early to tell. The lineup will look entirely different on opening night...

The Knicks have Amare/Felton/Randolph/Azubuike/Gallinari which is a better starting 5 than ours. ANd the knicks don't play D. They play D'Antoni style offense. It's total run and gun, which with the right players can be effective.

They still have cap room to fill out their roster and have Curry's expiring. As of right now, they have Turiaf and Chandler on the bench. Bill Walker too. Not great by any means, but not the worst.

Those who are laughing at them saying that that they're worse than us.. pull your head out of the sand and give your head a shake.

Vastly improved Derozan? Based on what? 2 summer league games playing against the bottom feeders of the D League? If he didn't play well against those teams and players, there would be a lot of cause for concern.

Take your blinders off and toss away the hate for the Knicks for a moment. You're giving way too much credit to players on our roster right now.

Hahhh, we'll see. I don't think that they're a playoff team. I'm no a Felton fan, I do like Randolph though. They have money to spend, yes but the pool of FA is thining by the minute. They have no bench, and imo that starting 5 isn't that good. Mostly unproven players.

last year they made about 30 wins now they got Amare Randolph and Abu (underrated player imo) and not set yet so i'll say at least 40/42 wins. As for the Rap wait till you see the complete roster

2nd or 1st worst record in the east... possibly the NBA

wakeup people look at our starting lineup as it stands now.

Last year the "young guns" you are all so high on played good (not great) basketball against teams 2nd units usually.

It's not a bad thing, we'll get a high lotto... but thats about it. They may be fun to watch on some nights against the team there playing and I'd say disgusting to watch vs most of the other teams.

The east has gotten tougher and tougher the last few seasons and you cant deny that.

This season the east will be even tougher, and the Raps have gone Downhill with the likes of CB4/JO/Marion/Turk etc on the floor the last few seasons, and now we have 2nd unit players on the floor that were hoping will develop as starters? Lets hope!.

I'm glad you all have the enthusiasm we all usually have every off season the last few years but this year its diff for me.

I wouldn't mind them tanking aslong as the games are half decent to watch and this board doesnt blow up with fire the coach/waive this guy/trade this guy doomsday threads.
