Okur in a few years especially once he can establish a little more of an inside presence. I don't think Andrea will ever be a force in the post, but will definitely make improvements. I just don't think he'll ever reach the Pau or Dirk potential as much as some Raptor fans think he will.

Yeah... I couldn't agree with you more... I gave up on a dream that Bargnani will be superstar.... I would be happy if he can be solid player like Okur in few years...

Since its your first poll I will not critic it much...but where is the "other" option.

I don't see his game resembling any of those guys really, but I'll beat the drum again..in 2 years he will be our leading scorer barring injury or signing a serious PPG guy.

I see him being like Dirk but with better defense and better/stronger finish around the post.

In terms of how much of an asset he is... Okur. Maybe 17ppg.

But I actually think in terms of resemblance, Lebron is as good a comparison as any of these guys. Can drive the hoop from the 3 point line and go up for a dunk or foul, or step back and hit the shot. No post-up or inside game, doesn't really need one.

I wouldn't say mad, but concerned that you may be a little delusional right now.

My idea wasn't to compare Bargnani to any of these players necesserilly but to ask:"How good will Bargnani be in few years?"

1. Superstar
2. All-Star player
3. Very good player
4. Solid big man
5. Talented but lazy and disinterested player
6. Total bust

Based on what I've observed, I gotta go with solid big man. I'm not sold on him as say Benzo is. But I don't consider him a lazy or a disinterested player, let alone a "total bust". I just don't see him being a all-star or a superstar.

Sikma was one of the most accurate shooting centers in NBA history. He holds the rare distinction of leading the league in free throw percentage (92.2%) while playing the center position during the 1987-88 season and averaged 84.9% for his career. Sikma also made over 200 three-pointers during his career with a 32.8% three-point percentage.

Along with his accurate shooting, Sikma led the NBA in defensive rebounds in both 1981-82 and 1983-84 while playing in Seattle.
He's just got to start rebounding more...

It's funny what a month or so will do to change perceptions, eh?
Some time ago we would have been extatic if Bargnani turned out to be a servicable. but now he's looking like he's regained his old (first overall draft pick) potential and form.

With Gino, it's a constant journey of learning and doing. The more he battles, the more he drives to the hoop, the more he goes for rebounds - the better he will be. The thing that has me optimistic is that recently he is playing with an attitude that even when his shot isn't falling, he still looks to DO shit on the court. He's getting back some of that character he had from last year before the appendix.

So ya... i think he will be very good. no... I know he will be very good. Just not sure when.

He's a bust. I'm heading down to the ACC with a sign that says, "WANTED: A 7FT. MEATBALL WHO ISN'T ALERGIC TO REBOUNDING." lol
