when will we see .500 again?

if we do go tanking, it is possible we will never be over .500 again for a few years (unless we manage to win the 1st game of the season or something :).

the worst part, I looked at the schedule for the next 30 games, and after tomorrow, we could really lose all of them. There is no opponent that wouldn't be favourite against us, because when we originally looked at the schedule, we assumed easy wins against philadelphia and phoenix, but that looks less and less likely now.

of course, there are probably 8-10 games where we will have a 50/50 chance, so we won't go 0-29. Nevertheless, the already brutal schedule got even tougher ....

which, of course, is great news for us :)

sorry, meant 2016
tank two seasons, start the 15/16th poorly, but gradually play better and get above .500 by the end of the season, make the playoff and lose a tough 5-6 games series to get some experience for a young roster :)

EggsToTheBBQ 11-09-2013 12:23 AM

0-0 is .500

So - the beginning of next year.

Unless you count summer league, because Wiggins is going to kill it in summer league.

Fired coach in two weeks. So by the final game of the season this year where .500 because the whole league is tanking and we painfully get destroyed in the playoffs and%2

0-0 is not .500.

No it ain't, plug that into a calculator. It's indeterminate.

0/0 = 1/2

Seems legit

Nah, dont you know once you tank you can never have a winning season again and you lose the crucial winning culture that is the most important part in winning championships, moreso than your roster itself.

That's an interesting one. Any number divided by 0 is indeterminate, but if you define .500 as wins equal losses, then 0-0 fulfills that. The concept of 0 is very interesting and as absurd as infinity. :police:

yeah but it's also like .000 and 1.000!!??

you're losses are equal to games played and so are your wins!

So what you're saying is that a team would be stupid not to tank for three, four, five years. I mean a roster with anything but high lottery picks is bound to be a treadmill team. Tank forever baby! I can hardly wait to see this team ten years from now. A powerhouse!

You're great at reading between the lines man, it's almost as if I said none of that in my post but you still understood it that way. :cookie:

I was only following your logic. Which was so simplistic that there are no lines to read between, as much as i'd love to. Moremilk is already calling for a tank next year. We both know that won't get it done. Lebron said more than two, more than three, more than four. That's exactly how this team needs to think when it comes to losing.

I'll say this much, you guys are dreaming if you think they can tank the next two years and then make the playoffs. You do realize tanking requires getting worse? That would be after 3 years of "improper" tanking. This team would seriously risk becoming an absolute shit show. The only way a tank works is if they develop a good amount of the talent that is here while not being able to get over the hump most nights, and playing end of bench guys to finish the season. Just throwing away this season and next, and forcing whatever talent is here as a result of previous tanks to eat shit for two years, is nothing more than the definition of ineptitude. This team already has a bad reputation. Worsening that will not pay off handsomely.
