i don't know when, but i know for the sake of the youngs guys they need to win at least 20-25 games this year.

because they will not be with a good mindset in october (if the season 2011-12 rmain), and that will be a huge investement of time and talent blazed.

Well, it's a guess and looking at the games the next few weeks. Since it's Minnesota at home it's about the only game that seems remotely possible unless we start getting Barbosa, Kleiza back. And imo if we were healthy we'd probably have around 17-18 wins.

do you actually watch the atlanta games this season and last? so relax your shit, the raptors young players perform very well (offense and defense) against the hawks for some reason. notice how we dont get blown out even when they have a superior starting lineup and bench

Really, Sunday November 28th 2010...
Atlanta 96
Raptors 78

Dec 2nd, 2009
Raptors 115
Atlanta 146

December 11, 2009
Atlanta 111
Raptors 89

This game will be a moral victory if it end up losing by less then 20pts.

Kuzzy 02-01-2011 05:14 PM

I hope it ends on the 16th against Miami, so despite affecting our dp, we also improve our other Miami dp.
The match friday vs the t-wolves is huge. If we lose that game we'll have sole possession of the 2nd overall pick. :) Atleast for now.

TORaptor4Ever 02-01-2011 05:43 PM

What people are forgetting is that the worst record in the league doesn't guarantee you the #1 pick.... in fact the worst team RARELY ends up with it.

We'd probably be better off praying for 3rd worst IMO. :mischief:

true^

But i'll stick with the odds. :)

that may be so, but you're guaranteed a top 3 pick. Some drafts have a clear #1, other drafts don't. In the current draft, #1, 2 and 3 are probably about the same, so having the worst record means something.

If you have the 3rd worst record, there's a GOOD chance you end up picking 5th, and history shows that the talent drop is massive.

The depressing thought is that this draft is already compared to bargnani's year ... Our timing is just awesome, we could get two #1 draft picks in a sequence that includes rose, lebron, howard, durant (in hindsight), bogut, bargnani and bargnani II, and end up with the latter two :).

AP we miss you!!!!!!!!!!! 02-01-2011 09:31 PM

I hope it ends when we face the Heat at the ACC. Then another losing streak should start. Hopefully that one ends at the last game of the season.

why do you bring up games from 3 fucking years ago.

jan. 13th 2011
hawks 104, Toronto 101
very close fight considering the injury report.
Quote:

Toronto
Reggie Evans Out
Peja Stojakovic Out
Sonny Weems Day to day
Jose Calderon Day to day
Jerry Bayless Day to day

Atlanta
The whole team is healthy

the nov. 28th game was a meltdown in the 3rd quarter but we competed for the rest of the game, and a comeback in the 4th.

this team is changing for the better, but i never guaranteed an absolute win over the hawks like what you want it to seem.

Three years ago? Are you sniffing glue? You said we've played Atlanta well this season and LAST SEASON (09-10)...

Those blowout games are from last season and this season. We've had a couple close games the last 2 season but overall we've been blown away as it shows in the games i posted.

^ Last season was 09-10

MARTYNAS 02-01-2011 10:56 PM

Worst record guarantees top 4 pick, not top 3. Actually, chances to win 4th pick is 35.7%, while chances to win 1st pick is only 25%.

Chiggmo 02-02-2011 02:54 AM

Who cares what pick, this draft sucks.

never said the entire team

alright so i made a mistake with the 3 years ago quote, but remember derozan had a season high last year against atlanta, with weems and amir playing very decent games

Yeah, who cares about trying to acquire cheap, young assets that have the potential to develop into something.

We need more talent and controllable talent and adding a piece at a time through drafts is the best way to go.

As for my question, I really, really, don't know when we win another game if we lose to Minnesota Friday.
