What's up with the sudden quit?

Seems like this team tries for little bit, then once they give themselves a chance to get back into the game, they turn off the engine and stop trying. There is no effort on defence, and offence is slow and sluggish. It's frustrating as a fan watching this and seeing no effort on the part of the players.

no excuses you're right, but today they fought hard to get back in the game and thats what adds to the poor defence:tombstone:

Rye 11-18-2009 11:22 PM

andrea, turk, and rasho are slow as hell.

Horrible game by the raps

babyface 11-18-2009 11:26 PM

Rasho didn't even play.

babyface 11-18-2009 11:27 PM

I blame the JJ + Jose combo.

Acie 11-18-2009 11:28 PM

They were tired, they didn't quit.

Gurk 11-18-2009 11:36 PM

Yea. It was fatigue but the thing is if we want to be a good team fatigue can't be an issue

Thanks, Matt Devlin. ;)

Triano has to stop playing Jack and Jose together. How many games must be lost before he realizes it doesn't work?

Gurk 11-18-2009 11:37 PM

I try

The problem with this squad is that they continue to shoot jumpers when they're fatigued.... while other teams get high percentage shots by going to the rack.

They just have to be a lot smarter down the stretch TBH.

LJkAze 11-18-2009 11:40 PM

At this point I say we should just drop and use the defensive play we have so far and practice on becoming a even better offensive team then what we are now. I keep hearing we are the best offensive team already but every time or every game when the raptor have the ball 70% chance it'll go in and 30% it doesn't go in. Seriously I know defensive is good and all but what the point if you get the ball and you cant shoot it in. It's very depressing seeing the ball never go in when they losing and being pressured.

andrea is the opposite of slow, for a center he's fairly quick. Against PFs he's proably slower than average though, which is why is crazy to think he'd be a better fit at PF that at C.

They give up in the offseason, when they should be training hard to get into better shape.

Best players in the league do not tire and give it all at both ends of the court.

The denver game reminded me of last years raptors, give it all out in the 1st half and come out with no energy in the 2nd.

I am sick and tired of always seeing people making excuses for all pro sports players are tired.......their schedule is tough..............their back to backs.......fuck that..........they are professional athletes that are paid extremely huge coin to do what they love to do. I used to work 7 days a week......if I didnt show up and actually do my job I would have been fired! After last nights game I seen these guys shaking hands and laughing it up with some of the Jazz players............if I was Triano I would have thrown my clipboard at the team and freaked right out..............these guys are a bunch of pansy ass no account losers who all have their nice fat contracts to go home too. Bargs , Hedo, Jose don't seem to give a shit if we win or lose.............you can blame Triano all you want but the bottom line is BC brought in all these stiffs and he is solely responsible for this team that is underproducing. I dont care if we are 9 games in..........at this rate we will not make the playoffs. I will eat a little crow...........Bellineli and Bosh looked like they were at least trying and Amir had a decent game but if you need him to be a major contributor we are fucked!

The comparison to working 7 days a week is ridiculous. I'm sure there were days when you were tired, it just wasn't made vastly apparent by a point difference. I mean, they're still able to run, shoot and do their 'jobs'.

I think its more like they start slow, get behind, and through working hard to get back into it they expend so much energy that they don't have enough close out the game. If there's a lack of effort its in the beginning of the game. Any team that constantly is in over their head before the end of the first half all the time is going to have trouble winning...All the time.

agreed...coming down from 20 pts is a huge feat. and thats just to come back. the other team will then relized wtf just happened and try harder, forcing you to play hard.

just dont fall behind at the start, its easier that way haha
