Gotta say the biggest disappointment so far this season would have to be Mr. Jack.

His stats have been poor, especially his shooting percentages: .361 FG and .320 from behind the Arc.

I wouldn't say his defense has been super amazing, nor are his assists and rebounding numbers..

that being said, I have no doubt he can turn it around, just to bad he hasn't picked it up so far.

He has to concentrate on stopping the opponent's point guard. My biggest beef with him so far is that he has not been markedly better than Jose on defence - in fact, with Jose improving lately, they are about even in that department. It's all good and dandy to switch Wright onto the pg at times, but what are we going to do against a team with a really good back-court?

He has stepped it up when Calderon hasn't been able to, and that's really all I ever asked of him.

He's coming off the bench. His role on this team is to be the alternative if Calderon isn't working out.
Off the top of my head I'd say he's done what he has supposed to have done against the 76ers, Timberwolves, and Wizards. I'm not asking him to be D Wade - he just needs to get the job done, and he has.

But yeah, I know. Fuck the big picture.
What have you done for me recently?

He has been very weak. I got him as a fantasy player and all his stats across the board are shitty

I still dont think hes comfortable yet. His strengths include him running the pick and roll a lot when hes in the game(same with Turk) and I dont think either have had enough touches yet early on in the season.

He'll break out his shell soon enough. Hes young and he obviously knows how to play, its just a comfort thing right now with him.

stats don't tell the whole story.

he was brought in to solidify the 2nd unit and provide a suitable backup to Calderon which i feel he's done. he won't have spectacular stats, so i guess he could be considered a disappointment since he's getting 5M...but he's been as advertised for me. not spectacular...but solid

I didn't just see complaints about fantasy stats did I? Please no.

He's shown enough when absolutely needed that I'm not at all worried yet. I agree that he has to be more of a stopper defensively, but that might take a few weeks. You could look at almost any of the new guys and wonder WTF depending on what portion of what game you focus on them. The main thing I see is each one of them figuring out just how they fit. And so far the signs have been mostly positive. Don't tell me Jack hasn't contributed at all. That just isn't the case.

True, but at the same time they can't be dismissed. The fact is he's turning the ball over, almost 2 per game while only getting 2 assists. That plus his shooting is even worse then it usually is.. Simply put he's struggled for the most part, and i've found him to look kinda uninterested alot of the time.

Oh, and on a side note Jack has been atrocious in late clock situations, he holds onto the ball and stagnates the offence while he stands there for like 10+ seconds and then often drives the ball himself or shoots, usually turning it over or missing the shot.

jack hasn't really fitted in yet. i see him looking lost half the time and bored. ( are his eyes usually that small and tired looking?) the only thing i like better about Jack than Jose is his capability to get to the line. Jose should learn how to attack the basket better since his FT % was freaking 98%? last season

Not hard to tell that he and Bosh were roomates.

nothings wrong with him, i think he is just adjusting i mean when he was in pacers he was starting, and also when he was with pacers he was given the ball alot here he has to do the ball giving more and he is just adjusting im happy with his performance i he will be better in these road games because we need him to control nash

Why is it when someone is struggling on our team we want to throw them imediately under the bus. Jack will be fine. His job is to back up Jose, what does everyone expect from him. He was never a great shooter, never a great passer and never was a great defender. Jack is solid player and is better then what we had last year at the back up pg position. If you watch Jack sitting on the bench you will notice that he is not sulking, that is the key, he is cheering his mates on. The guy has the right attitude hes still trying to fit in. We are asking him just to be solid for 10 to 15 mins a game.I am not throwing him under the bus. Jack is a team guy and he will be there when we need him.

Jarret Jack is a decent back up in the nba.

Jack is playing under his capability, but to be honest all he is really doing is proving to be a nice median player in which to use as a comparison to jose. A lot of people don't know how good they have it. Putting Jack beside Jose finally shows people that jose is just that much better than an average PG.

Guys remember this thread, Jack is a solid back up that was brought in and is paid to back up Jose Calderon.Hes doing a good job and holding the fort as Caldy heals.
