Theirs nothing positive from this off season BC has done. And to me no clear plan for the future. The Lowry signing is nice but hes leaving 100% after his contract is done. We will quite likely be a worse team then, thanks to our recent signings and BC's general stubbornness with our players. A player like Lowry with coach/team issues in the past will not want to be on this losing joke of an NBA franchise. So once he's gone and we're already out this years pick, how bad are we going to be? I have a bad feeling about the future

We lose a couple of close games to teams significantly better than us and its the end of the world. give this team some time to gel and Casey some time to figure out the rotations and we should be fine.

team with Lowry was competitive against powerhouses despite shitty mcfields. lets say his mental problems end, kleiza returns to DC's plans, Valanciunas improves, DD continues to play OK, Bargnani improves his mindset a little bit and we're a playoff team without new players. there are reasons for lowry to stay, max contract wouldn't be bad either.

Also he still will be getting paid 4 and 5 years from now, if he takes the 3 year max. He'll be 31 when that contract runs out, which plausibly still leaves him in line for another big deal and possibly making as much at 32 and 33 as in the UFA deal. So long term, he plausibly could make more taking the 3 year max, then signing another huge contract at 31. |

If he's smart, he'll go to free agency. If he stays it will be as a FA, not through extension. |
