Default What's Ed Davis' ceiling?

How good could he be? Could he ever become an all star? a star? or just another rotation player?

I think if we let him grow as a player he can easily become an all star, or atleast and border line all star.

i doubt all star, i think his cieling is a chandler or okafer type. i doubt heel be able to develop the offensive game enough to get all star worthy, though his shot has looked ok lately. PROVE ME WRONG ED

I think his ceiling would be star, maybe even All-Star but nothing like Playoffs MVP or what not. But its early to tell. By next season, I'll probably have a different outlook on him. Defensively he'll be great, that's one asset we need on this team for so long. His offensive game will come, he's showing some post moves from his college year which is good

He'll be lucky if he gets one all star appearance. He is going to be a great player, a starter for sure. Is he going to eclipse Antonio Davis as raptor... no.

He does play like a C, I wish he was a little taller but add some bulk and he should be fine. But him a PF is probably better.

I see him eclipsing ANtonio Davis. That's a pretty low ceiling. Antonio had a great work ethic. Ed has real natural ability, that if he has any kind of work ethic, is going to go far beyond what Antonio could do. He'll have to get a little bigger and stronger, but that should come.

He has good work ethic, like Demar. Davis' dad used to play in the NBA, so you can be sure he'll be hounding on Davis to buff up and improve. Plus he seems hungry.

+1 Antonio was more physical and imposing, but offensively was putrid. That said, Antonio would be a great fit alongside any of our bigs.

Sky is the limit. Pair him with a defensive center and you got one tough front court.

Davis is always going to struggle on the offensive end . Putrid? Maybe.

Okafor is a great comparison, that's what I see him turning into. (Not the previous Okafor years, but this years, I hear he's racking up double-doubles like crazy).

He's already shown a more fluid offensive game than Antonio Davis ever has,...

exactly, i can see him having 15-15-2(blocks) games every now and then and average around oh lets say 12-12-1.7 but these numbers wont get you to be an allstar. though it will get you value around the league, so in conclusion.. much more than a role player, but not a star or all star.

Like DeMar, he's a rough diamond. He'll impress all of us in one year (after we trade Bargs lol). Right now he's like Stromile Swift. But no doubt he'll improve.

lolwut? he can finish around the rim already, all he needs to work on is his jump shot. he can be a 15 & 10 guy easily. he has shown flashes of greatness, he just needs to be more consistent.

I doubt he'll ever average more than 16ppg, but could easily get Reggie-esque numbers on the glass and could average 2+ blocks in a year or two.

And to be completely honest, I'd be happier if he never became an all-star but rather was on an all-defensive team.
