What is wrong with these two?

Andrea Bargnani- seems to be completely lost on the court. He's second guessing everything he's doing out there, he's over thinking and hesitating and looks like a deer in the headlights. I keep waiting for the peverbial lightbulb moment but all i see is the 07-08 Bargnani.

Antoine Wright- This guy was supposed to be a lock down defender and many here wanted him to be the starter at SG? Sorry but he turns the ball over way too much at the worst times, bad ball handler, awful shot selection when he should know he isn't a shooter. Add to that, his defence has been far from great. Not impressed!

Now i know we just lost a game and once again looked like shit and i probably need to sleep on this and get some perspective and i'll feel better about this team in the morning (i hope), but i'm on an ice cream high (fuck that ice cream thread...) and i'm pissed. I keep thinking that December's schedule eases up and we'll be ok, but with each passing game i'm losing confidence in that.

I'd like to see Bargs get the ball at the high post -top of the key/elbow- instead of 3-point line extended more often. I think that could really be his bread 'n butter...If I'm Triano, I demand Bargs asserts himself in the high post and takes a specific amount of shots within the 15-20 foot range in order to stay on the floor. A high post/low post game with him and Bosh would be lethal IMO. They do it every now and then when Bargs flashes to the high post and drops and lighting quick dime to Bosh..it just seems too obvious, I must be missing something..

Wright thinks that now he is on a shittier team like Toronto rather than Dallas, he can become an elite scorer. His decision making pisses me off.

I think that Wright just appears to be a bust because of the successes of the rest of the bench. He hasn't been great - sure, but he hasn't been terrible either. I do think he's the closest thing to any sort of defensive ability on this team.

But we've recently seen big performances from Jack, Rasho, Beli, and Johnson.
Wright has just not had a game where he's been the game changer.

Wright's decision making on offense is atrocious, he hurts the team when he's doing anything but stand still on the elbow and wait for kick outs.

Watching Bargsy lately, it just seems like something isn't right. The facial expression never changes no matter what the situation, but the body language he's been showing is a far cry from what I saw from him in the first little bit of the season and last year. Doesn't look like he wants to be out there at times, especially on defense, and when he's getting the ball on offense he looks like he doesn't know what to do with it. I'll still love him till the end. I hope he gets things into gear, this team needs him...

I dunno man.

Wright has not been 100 percent and is still trying to define his role. I think it's only fair to give him more time. I don't get the sense that he's automatically hurting the team when he's out there. When he's been fresh he's helped the team.

To suggest he was ever a lockdown defender is going too far. He's not and never has been. He's a guy that improves the team defense. When the team defense is in tatters, and he's got a bum ankle or whatever himself, he's not going to look great.

His offense isn't really an issue. Offense is not the problem, and it's not like he's chucking up a ton of shots or being incredibly ball dominant or anything.

Correction - he doesn't understand that Basketball is played on both sides of the court.

If Bryan is serious about committing to Bosh, then fucking trade Bargnani already and move on.

How about Bargs hasn't seen a play run for him since the first week of the season.

The longer the coach ignores him, the worse this is going to get.

Quote:
On Friday night in Beantown during the Raptors TV pregame show, Raptors TV analyst and color commentator Jack Armstrong asks Andrea Bargnani what can only be described as a telling question.

Jack asks, “Andrea, What are you going to do to help Chris Bosh?”
Brothersteve's Blog

The "new" direction for the Raptors seems to everything goes through Bosh - even if he's 10-34.

Does Bargs still have a future with the Raps?
He should - Raps are better off trading Bosh before he gets a cap crushing contract.
