I love Lowry but, we don't know that, yet..
as Carp said it wouldn't be 13th pick, that team without Lowry and Gay sucks ass!

well Shroder could play for the tanking team but Antetokunmpo would get destroyed at this point he is way to young weak and raw.

Yeah we could have been in Nerlens Noel range...imagine a JV + Noel front court.

The Toronto Raptors have six contracts and $46 million likely committed for the 14-15 season.

Landry Fields, DeMar DeRozan, Steve Novak and Rudy Gay have guaranteed contracts, while the Raptors will pick up their team options on the rookie deals of Jonas Valanciunas and Terrence Ross.

The Raptors are unlikely to make any additional major moves this offseason.

Rudy better freaking get traded or decline his option. He's screwing with the 2 year window!

All the discussion about whether or not to tank, got me thinking about several counterfactuals last week.

Start looking all the moves that have been made since May/June 2012. Now imagine Colangelo and UM had contracts that were shorter by a year and Tim-L and UM showed up a year earlier, with the current mentality and control of the team before the 2012 draft/free agency period. A whole bunch of shit plays out differently.

I think the real key to change (if they're not just bullshiting us) is the arrival of TL. Although UM will be the brains behind the change, the freedom to make those moves is what is important. I think that's what fucked Colangelo (and us by proxy) up the bum last year. I think it was Dan who pointed this out a few months ago. Colangelo was making decent rebuilding moves and then, Bam!, last summer happens. We blow cap space on Fields and draft a player (Ross) who looks like he was picked purely to get immediate bench help for a roster that would include Nash. But we don't know for sure Colangelo really wanted to do that, but was rather expected to try and bring in Nash, and thus had to plan as if he could do it.

If TL shows up in 2012, what does Colangelo do? Draft Drummond, even if just to trade him? Ditch Bargnani? Never go after Nash (and thus no Fields)?

Also, imagine if we got Allen Iverson in the 90s!

How cool would that have been! :jack:

All for nothing if you don't get Eric Snow and Aaron McKie too.
