bosh leaves next summer: he abandons the hapless Raptors for better climate in florida etc

bosh resigns next summer for max: toronto horribly overpays for a player who will never be a true #1 option

bosh resigns and we don't play well: he should have signed with an US team, rather than play in a city where no free agent wants to play

bosh resigns and we win a title: the nba conspired to keep a canadian team who was ready to bolt

Fox news and Sports Illustrated headlines right there.
You should get hired.

If Bosh re-signs and they play well, even the US media will cheer for them. If he re-signs and they don't play well, he will quietly ask them for a trade and BC will accommodate him.

If he bolts - see above.

only where you get frustrated by pointless and baseless articles about Bosh in particular and toronto in general.

I should probably have said hollinger, not US media. But it's not that far off ...

it brings me back to when they interviewed derozan right after he got drafted and the guy goes " they have interesting means of transportation down in toronto. i hear their street cars are very up to date".

it's totally irrelevant

I mean i guess the media can take a negative spin on things, but why be paranoid over something a. you have no control over, and b. is completely speculative.

that sounds like before that he thought we drive horse carriages or something. Toronto is the 5th largest urban center in NA, and in top 5 in a variety if high tech/high finance fields, including media (#4). Anyway, he's going to have problems fitting his escalade through the streetcar doors

By any account, Toronto should be a top destination for any FA. Great city, very stable organization who is willing to spend, great GM, great fans, clean city, low crime, great media market - you name it. Outside the weather, there's little to complain.
