I think you re-sign Gray, and let him or Amir start - based on the matchup against the opposing C.

Have Valanciunas come off of the bench and play against favourable matchups to boost his confidence.

Gray and Magloire should be good for another year.

I agree Greg Stiemsma & if not than Grey IMO

Ben Wallace may be slightly undersized but he more than makes up for it with his brute strength and unbeatable hustle and effort

Valid point, however there is no garuantee Acy will recieve any playing time and if Amir is traded we dont really possess any undersized bigs

Since when is Fields a "deadly slasher" ?

Laugh at me now...

But I see Acy eventually demanding some minutes at the 5. Fuck his height. Undersized centers start all the time. Guy has a longer wingspan than Ben Wallace and he's an absolute beast. Guys like that live in the weight room. The fact that he has a 37-38 inch vert will make it even better for him in those weak side blocking situations.

A lot of people on here think Valancunias is a lock to become a legitimate all star and possibly franchise player. I think he can be good but won't be right away and definitely no time soon if he starts. Relieving all pressure off of him as a rookie should be the goal,so bring in a veteran who he could learn from. Joel Pryzbilla and Jason Collins come to mind, both experienced, cheap and could start temporary until JV gets up to speed. Gray is another option but I don't like him too much, the good thing is he's already familiar with the system

Gray can give us as much as low level C FA, plus he's already played here.

i was very interested in vucevic when that trade was mooted but sounds like that was here-say.

JV would start his career similar to how Camby did back when we drafted him, frustrating some fans with his lack of strength and raw skillset.

Nazr Mohammed can eat up minutes at a cheap price. Probably isn't headed back to OKC since they signed Thabeet. Affords us more protection at the rim.
