Knicks by far. Maybe it's because they're in our division and I just think they're worse than Celtics fans. I love it when the knicks lose and we usually beat them a couple times per season.

Quote:
a few summers ago Amare said the Knicks are back. Boy o boy was he right:

No cap flexability

1st rd picks traded in 2010, 2012, 2014 and now 2016

Forget a championship, not sure this team will be top 4 in the east.

Isiah's influence all over the organization

A GM who gets man handled in every trade.

So Amare was right, the Knicks are back.

And it all comes back to James Dolan.
Quote:
Knicks got more than fair value. People want handouts like the Lakers. That isnt going to happen. Improvement isnt going to happen unlesd you give up some things. If Knicks didjt give up a first Bargnani wou L d be traded somewhere else thos morning. So stop your whining.
Quote:
We turned a pitiful Novak and a zombie in Camby into a pitiful Bargnani.
Quote:
I can't wait for that 2015 plan, it's going to be like 2010 all over again: overpaying for overrated players until 2020, when we do it again
Quote:
Wouldn't it be nice to have, say, a future 1st rd pick to trade if all the top players decide they want to go play for winning organizations like they did in 2010?

We would still have the cap sapce had we not made the trade (Novak's $3m means nothing, but no reason Felton and Novak were BOTH given 4 year deals last year. Could have given same total dollars, maybe less when factoring in time value of money, amortized over 3 years instead of 4).

Or the pick could have been used after signing players to future improve the team in a trade.

Short sided move. Why can't the Knicks sit down and draft a 5 year plan and stick to it.

Maybe because James Dolan can't count to 5 and Grunwald struggles to count to 7.
Quote:
We have succeeded in building the most metrosexual front court in NBA history. Thankyou Dolan. Can't wait to see pictures from this summers BBQ.
Quote:
The Knicks are the most poorly run organization in the NBA. Thanks to our incompetent owner the Knicks will be fortunate to sniff the 5 seed for the next couple of seasons while the Brooklyn Nets will be winning titles now.

So much comedy gold in NYK forums right now:

Quote:
Already blood is pouring out of my wrists. See ya
Quote:
The fact that everyone on the Raptors board loves it should tell you how horrible of a trade this is. Never do deals with Ujiri.
Quote:
Dude was about to amnestied in a week.

There has to be more.

masai got us again.
Quote:
First rounder better be top 29 protected.

Quote:
FFS. Will this god forsaken franchise stop giving up picks?
Quote:
WHY THE **** WOULD YOU GIVE UP EVEN MORE GODDAMN PICKS? WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH THIS TEAM?
Quote:
And they actually got value back from us. Meanwhile, we can't pay anyone to take Amar'e.
Quote:
..This can't be happening. I couldn't imagine a worse player to give up a first round pick for.
Quote:
"Andrea Bargnani -- the missing piece to our championship puzzle!" -- Said nobody ever.

There better be more to this. So f*cking sad.
Quote:
Bargnani always plays well in New York but man will he frustrate you. Woodson will get on him though so who knows. Right now this trade is a steal for us (especially if the picks are thrown in). But Bargnani easily has the ability to be an all star if he wants to be.
Quote:
lol at all the craptor fans trying to rationalize this deal.. you guys are a bunch of snakes grinning from ear to ear.. all of you.

my favorite:

Quote:
MLSE Representative: "Alright. So the plans are to amnesty Bargnani next week. Nobody's gonna want to trade for him."

Masai Ujiri": "I wouldn't say that. I think I know a guy who would be willing to make a deal."

*grabs phone*

Ujiri: "Hello Glenn? Hey it's your buddy Masai Ujuri! How you doin'? Listen I got a guy available that's perfect for your team. His name is Andrea Bar......what's that?.....yeah......Novak, Camby and two firsts......ahhhhh I wouldn't fleece you like that Glenn. How about a first and a second?......you would?......excellent! Alright I'll get the paperwork done. I'll see you at karaoke next month. Goodbye."

*hangs up phone*

Ujiri: "You were saying?"

say what you will about Knicks fans but there is some comedic gold on their boards.

I especially liked "that 1st round pick better be top 29 protected"

Bargs is ''happy to be to NY'' followed by comment:
Quote:
U mean he doesn't like the constant booing every time he touches the ball...
and..
Quote:
how much effort would you put into your job if you was a Raptor player. The treatment they gave Vince, Botraded sch and now Bargs....why any free agent would want to go there. Once Bargs is gone, I bet Landy will get the same treatment. Raptors fans have no class.
Quote:
2nd option, without the pressure of performing up to 1st overall pick standards on a crappy lottery team, is a godsend for Bargnani.
Quote:
New scenery and a fan base that will embrace him if he performs well is good motivation to do so.

Also, just like the rest of the core of the Knicks, he'll be auditioning for his next paycheck in 2015 as well.
I like this one:

Quote:
was scoring the knicks problem? or was it the inability to get rebounds, stops, etc? I used to like bargs, I just don't think he likes the NBA.. He loves what comes with playing in the NBA, but I think the guy wants to be elsewhere. he is damaged in that regard... His heart is not here.. bringing him to NY isn't going to change that.. not sure what happened to his shooting stroke, but it seems off.. he doesn't defend or rebound.. I am just trying to figure out, how does this address the knicks problems?

you keep talking about him complimenting melo and chandler... what good is that? complimenting a flawed structure does what? maybe if we had Dwight howard I could see where having a healthy and well playing Bargnani can help, but honestly I rather have ryan anderson who is better... Again, not saying Bargs is a bad player.. not sure if he is a good player in the NBA anymore, and even so.. how does this help the knicks in their area of weakness..not having a stretch 4 was not the knicks problem... rebounding, points in the paint and an efficient scorer was.... we haven't addressed any of that yet..
Quote:
Basically Bargnani is like a better 7 foot Copeland.

Bargs is really tall. I was watching some tape of him this morning and the announcer said he was 7'2.

In his new Nike Bargnani, he's 7'2.5'', to be exact.

To be serious, i've no idea why it marks it for you and if it's true or not. It doesn't mark anything for me, but who knows, some antiviruses over-report and some under-report.

That picture is from one of the websites that sell Nike shoes.

Some talk regarding Rudy rumors:
Quote:
Sounds like Dumars is really desperate trying to save his job.
followed by:
Quote:
Yeah I think its save to say hes in Colangelo mode now.
Quote:
Granger is available but I doubt Dumars tries to take him, He can shoot, Dumars is trying to take expensive players who can't shoot
Quote:
Gay + Lowry to Pistons would be wicked.
Quote:
Yes to both as long as we don't give up Drummond.

I could live with Monroe being traded even though it would be painful to see him go.
Quote:
Well, Raptors board thinks they could get Monroe or Drummond for Rudy
Quote:
have absolutely zero interested in Rondo. I would like Rudy though, but only if we can get him in a salary dump without giving up Knight/Monroe/Drummond. Is it possible for us to trade future firsts? Like a 2016 pick or something? If so I would offer Stuckey/KCP/2016 first for Gay. I think that is fair value.
Quote:
Any GM that is dealing with MU, need to be on notice.
He got a very solid package for Bargnani, someone we openly didnt want.

He is not going to be had for just expiring contracts
Quote:
Lol, Monroe for anything that's not Valanciunas and Lowry is literally a no go.
Quote:
Would you guys do Lowry and Gay for stucky, charlie, knight and a future 1st?
Quote:
Be awesome if we could pry both Gay and Derozen from Tor and still have enough asst to snag Rondo. Im down with trading anyone who isn't named Drummond to get this done. Maybe a 3 team deal could be worked out.

Quote:
I remember getting into a debate with a Raps fan who stated that Jonas Valancuinas (sp?) was a better player than Drummond.

The last post is just some annoying dumbass who thinks he has superior B-ball knowledge or some shit. JV is the better player, IMO, but I'm not going to act like you can't argue it. Then again, this is the fanbase who thought they would be doing us a favor by offering the expiring of two garbage players for Rudy.

Get Gay + DeRozan AND have enough leftover to get Rondo...without trading Drummond.
