How about a slice for every home double digit victory.

= Approximately 6 slices per season.

SJ is right. People were having a good time. But there's too much of an effort to make their good time about something besides the game, and there's no getting around how pathetic that is, along with all the noise and jumping like monkeys while some flunky holds out a t-shirt covered with corporate advertising. That noise is real, as is the disappointment among some when the flunky doesn't toss it in their direction.

Friday nights are particularly bad for the game being almost secondary. I've seen some of those where it is secondary among far too many in the crowd. There's an idea that loud city is all about making noise, and there's no real need to have the noise directed towards the game. I find it annoying and distracting much of the time, and in the past I did allow myself to stand up and see if I could snag a t-shirt before they required everyone to shriek and jump for a full minute. It's just too much, and too pathetic. I only hope that the team reaches a level where there can be a definitive shift in people's attention.

As for he pizza promotion, it's a little too easy to hold teams under 100. Keeping them under 90 would work well and keep people tuned into a decent team achievement regardless of the outcome.

it's supposed to be entertainment, 70% if not more of the going fans are not hardcore fans, a large number are probably not even casual fans. Lots of families with young kids go and they're mostly doing it for the show. And winning will only change it for the worse.

as far as the promotion goes, the average family will spend $300 or more going to a game, do you honestly think they are so stupid to really get pissed for losing a $2.50 slice? I would be shocked if you could find 50 people in the whole arena who even remotely care about it.

Trap game.

Toronto have been surprisingly good of late and heading towards .500.

Don't think this will be an easy game if we are off even in the slightest.

Wait a minute, it's the raptors.

Easy win.

The chances of the Raptors beating us on their home court are like the chances of a tsunami hitting Pluto.

Easy win.

This is definitely a trap game. The Raptors have lost 2 in a row and need a win and the Bulls are going to be overly confident after dominating the Hawks. I am predicting that Deng, Hinrich, and Hamilton settle for bad perimeter shots and the Bulls win only because Boozer and Noah combine for around 30 rebounds and 35 points in the paint.

Win or lose, I'd like to see the Bulls leave Toronto with Jose Calderon wearing a Bull's jersey. He's in a contract year and available and sports an outstanding EFFper48.

Was watching the Bulls stream - Chicago announcers do suck, the play-by-play guy called players' names wrong on at least 4 different occasions, and he literally grunted out the final score.

We're a bad rebounding team, but not as bad as that statistic indicates. I prefer to look at rebounding differential. That is, the gap between our number of rebounds and our opponents. The Raps are 21st in that.

It's misleading to just look at the average number of rebounds we get per game, because we play at one of the slowest paces in the league, and will thus be at an inherent disadvantage. We're one of the 5 slowest teams. That's objective, not an opinion. There is a stat for posessions per game (pace). So, given our slow pace, there are fewer rebounding opportunities because of fewer posessions.

Like I said, we're still bad, but not horriawful.

Why? Bargs it out, Ed/Amir/Gray/Acy are pretty solid rebounders and are known for it, Lowry gets a lot for a PG, DeMar's rebounding has been up and Fields has only been doing that since he's returned.

We do get hammered on the offensive boards though.

going back to it, amir and ed are good rebounders, but amir is undersized. certain matchups are tough

Even then, you lose the effects of pace and possession differential. Looking at ORB% and DRB% is a better indicator. The Raps are 20th and 16th in those categories, which puts them around 18th in the league in rebounding. So, below average, but not by much.
