What's telling is that every team's fanbase overrates their talent... 'with all the talent we have'..... good on Casey for finding the chemistry and finally getting these guys to bring it in consecutive games.

It's amazing how good Charlie V looked in his rookie season and now he's just a complete scrub. Even Monroe has some of that Charlie V-type laziness in him. Yah, he looked sick tonight but his season numbers aren't that great and he tends to pad his stats when the Pistons lose.

Charlie V could've been Odom in his prime, easily. Instead he got paid and you can tell he doesn't care out there. Hell, look at his body. I mean it's fine, I guess, but you don't win championships with guys like that. Their just isn't the commitment to being exceptional.

Daye and Stuckey make the game look so much harder too.

I'll never understand why Prince chose to re-sign with them.

He could have been a great piece in MIA, BOS, SAS, etc....

I wonder if he has a bad reputation as a teammate (he and Hamilton treated Iverson like crap).

He's one of those players that wants to stay with his team.

1- He wouldn't have got major minutes in MIA or BOS, because they already had Lebron and Pierce at SF. And he wouldn't fit with Miami's small ball lineups when Lebron plays the 4. He's not as perimeter oriented (passing and high volume 3 point shooting) as Miller and Ray Allen for the small ball. Also, by the time Prince was a free agent, Boston already had Jeff Green backing-up Pierce, so they had a significant chunck of money already tied up at the SF spot in 2011.

I don't think those scenarios made sense for him in terms of minutes or money. Especially when you consider the reduced price of the MLE for Miami due to their salary situation. Miami only spent 3 mill on Battier and 3 mill on Allen. Prince would not get more, whereas he got 7 mill in Detroit. The dollars add up over several years.

2-The Spurs might have been able to use him, but they've been constantly trying to stay under the tax. He wouldn't have even got the full MLE from them. That summer the Spurs filled their need a much cheaper way by just drafting Kawhi Leonard.

The Spurs wouldn't have made a move for Prince unless it was via trade, so that they could unload some of their own salary and stay under the tax, which they ultimately did when they picked up S-JAX for Jefferson. That option was not available for Prince.

3- I think halph's right that he is somewhat loyal to Detroit. That's probably a a part of it, since there were other playoff teams that might have offered Prince the MLE back in 2011. But all the really serious contenders were already fine at SF.

On paper, Orlando wins this. The computers love the Magic in this.

This should be a very tough game and hard matchup. Raptors usually play the Magic tough and are on a winning streak like the Magic. But, the Magic Defense just took a major hit and the frontline could be in trouble defensively. Should be a high scoring game.

I think we're really gonna struggle during the next couple games without Glen.

We'll miss the subtle things like his defense and rotations. You don't always see it but he has a very big impact on the game.
Also his offense is unfairly scrutinized here sometimes and I think we'll even struggle to score.

btw, Raptors fans are hilarious

Nicholson struggled the last time we faced the Raptors in Toronto... it was probably his worst game in which he's played at least 15 minutes. Hopefully his nerves of playing in front of a Canadian crowd are gone now.

I thought the magic played tough tonight and it was certainly the first time all year I have questioned the coaching of Jauque Vaughn. With the incredible play of Vucevic in the first half of the game I thought he should have been in the game a lot more in the second half.

Ayon played well and did what he needed to do. The only thing that truly killed this game was the turnovers. I think we can bounce back and beat the Jazz this time around.

Good to know our Ross love tonight was not pure homerism. The Magic fans thought he was dope, too.

If that's what Ross becomes, I'd be thrilled. During his prime, Jones made all-star teams and all-defensive teams. He was a high quality two-way player for the first 10 years of his career.

Yeah, I've heard that comparison too. He's made consecutive all-defensive teams, so Ross turning into Allen 2.0 would be nice as well. Ross appears to have a much better stroke from deep.

I'd be happy with him developing into something in the area of Eddie Jones without the passing ability, or Tony Allen 2.0

Kind of like a cross between Tony Allen and Jamal Crawford (or a taller JET).

This is what I think as well. Crawford on O with more athgletic ability, Allen on D. That would be best case mind you.
