Raptors. We're a fucking joke. We don't even have a franchise type player to build around right now. At least the Cavs have Irving, and they were a bigger joke than us a few years back. Please don't tell me it's DeRozan. I'm sick and tired of hearing that "Next time we have to play the full 48 minutes." Like we know, you guys can't close for shit. They just need to "FOCUS." It looks like some of the players checked out already.

Lakers are pretty bad and aren't winning a championship this year. Their defense looks horrible. Watching the Cavs game last night, CJ Miles navigating through the paint with ease. Nash isin't going to turn around their defensive fortunes, he's not even a good defender. I can see them winning more games with Nash, enough to get them into the playoffs. They still have talent, although aging, it's still talent nonetheless. They still have options to trade Pau for stretch 4 and PG. They should have hired Phil IMO.

If you don't think the Raptors, you're an idiot.

In the world of drugs, the Lakers could be seen as pot heads, the Raptors, full blown meth addicts. (we're fucked for a few years)

The Lakers can actually solve their problem, within the next month. We can't solve ours within the next decade. How the hell can they be a bigger mess than us?

I voted the Lakers, they're in a really dangerous spot. if they lose howard after this season, and steve's injuries are going to affect his game (he's almost 40 ...), they'll be in a very tricky spot. They will be a luxury team that has absolutely nothing beyond kobe/gasol/nash in terms of youth, they will have no cap space for 2 years at least and virtually no draft picks.

Sure, they've been really lucky with attracting top talent and people somehow think it's because it's LA. THat's a small part of it, but the truth is, the main reason they got players to flock was they were a really good team. NY is an equally glamourous spot, but they made one too many bad choices and they struggled for a decade as a result. If they're bad, I doubt there will be a ton of interest from big time free agents to go there, LA or not. After all, why didn't the Clippers attract more talent, they were in LA too ...

On the other hand, the Raptors will probably be forced to do the right thing this summer and reboot the rebuilding process. We will suck for a few more years, but there's hope that after that we'll have a strong core in place. Baring some minor miracles, if the Lakers don't turn this season around, we may actually have a MUCH better team 2 years from now.

Right now Raptors, in the long run the Lakers will be in trouble.

They have a small window of opportunity here, and that's it.

The Raptors have some young talent to build around, the lakers don't

I'd say that the chances of that happening are slim to none lol.

The Lakers have a lot of history... a great location.... and the deepest pockets in the league.

Even if D12, Kobe, Nash AND Pau are all gone in 2 years you can bet that there will be other players there to take their place. Kevin Love... Eric Gordon... someone else.
