Now we need a similar picture from last summer to see the change in his mass.

I'm hoping for..7-12 PPG and 4-6 REB.

Maybe more, who knows. Could win rookie of the year. Could lead the league in scoring. Could win MVP. Could be a first ballot HOF'er.

in terms of projections, are we talking about his nba stats or his d-league stats?

I'm thinking it'll be more or less Amir's numbers this season. He may run into a wall during the season.

I think his numbers will really depend from our pg, because as you all know JV is extremely effective in pick and roll

I haven't watched him too much, ill be honest, so i'm basing this on scouting reads. If he is as raw as they say, it comes as a bonus and detriment. It means his game is not set up, but the talent is there, so its easy to mold him to the teams needs. With casey here, his defence can get going quite fast, so im saying maybe 1 block/game, but the things heel do on thst end won't necesarilly translate to stats. here comes the negative, the offence in a raw player is normally very tough to mark down. He could hit it off right away, or hit it off later in the season, or not till his 4th season, who knows, but i can see him averaging say 5 points a game. His rebounding numbers, because of casey's defence, i would say will be around the same mark. Him playing alongside Bargs will give some chances to make nice passes so 2.5 assisgts per game

to recap" 5/5/2/1

Pau Gasol played 36 mpg in his first season, and he might have even been thinner than Jonas back then.

In 28mpg, I could see him going 13 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.5 blocks.
In Euroleague he played ONE season, averaging 7.87 pts and ~6 rebs.

it might become true.. but still, his figures should be (for the first season) around 8 pts, 5 rbs, 1 blk and 4 fouls.. average.

He's not going to be featured on offense, but I can't see him coming in timid on offense either. It doesn't seem like his makeup. I also can't see him sitting on the bench as much as Kanter does.

24 min 8 points 8 reb 1 assist 1 block. He's not Pau Gasol, but I don't expect him to be lost for 5 or 6 years either.

He is decent passer for big man and with the way assists are handed by stat crews these days ( before assist was not counting if scoring player dribbled the ball after receiving pass - now, I see most of the time if it is one dribble it counts as assist) I think it is reasonable he will get 1.5-2 ast a game.

i don't consider him a decent passer right now, he tends to tunnel vision and beat assist anti-records when he's facing strong opponents. he becomes decent when he plays bad opponents, it's probably an issue of confidence and taking time.
i expect him to be very frustrating with turnovers for the first year or a few.

but turnover prone big men who have good hands when it comes to rebounding also tend to develop a lot. so hopefully one day he does get 1.5-2 apg.
for now, i expect Tyson Chandler-esque.

I hate that comparison. Chandler has no post moves what so ever. Jonas is unique, not many big men in the NBA with his skill set right now.

what has that got to do with passing

not that i agree with your assessment, there are many more skilled big men in the league right now. he's gifted, long, quick, quite athletic, high energy, soft touch. post moves? he's not very skilled yet at all.

but that's another topic, nothing to do with the post you just quoted.
