A trade for Chris Wilcox before the deadline?

Are the Raps going to re-sign Marion? 3 years $30 mil

U think Nash will leave PHX this offseason and come to Toronto?

Calderon to Portland?

I'd love to deal Calderon to Portland as I can see the assets coming back being interesting.

Nash is apparently untouchable in Phoenix.

Lastly, I don't know if we'll be "buyers" at the deadline and if we are

I think they should release Marion - let him go to a championship contender.
Improves our changes of a better pick this season (with less tlaent on the team).
Bring in some younger players to develop the rest of this season.

Calderon is unlikely moving.
Nash in Toronto wouldn't solve anything for this team (except make a few Canadians happy)

Calderon for Fernandez + Blake -that's a good deal for us. Fernandez will be a monster in 2-3 years. But I don't think anything big will happen until the summer. First we'll see how well we do with Marion before we offer him a contract.

I think we might deal AP and Kaps for a back-up big but I don't expect anything spectacular

I'm wondering if Rasho will be back with the Raptors next year?

Maybe Kapono, but after BC's conference call i doubt AP is going anywhere.

I agree, but i'd rather him coming off the bench. I really wish we could get Belinelli even instead of Delfino and then have AP/Belinelli combo at the SG position. But because Beli is so cheap (1.4 Mil) GS would be nuts to give him up.

Our single biggest "what happens next", is Clolangelo sitting down with CB4 after the season and gauging where his head is at. Is he in or out? And if he's non commital trade him before the deadline for a top pick and an All-star.

He is a nice peice but he is also an expiring that a team would like to have. I hope we don't give him away but if a right deal comes a long you have to

NOTHING BC has done to this point matter at all, it's how he handles the Bosh situation that will seperate him from past GM's. That will be his first real defining moment.

As far as PArker, ya, I lik ehim as a back up, utility guy, like Ron HArper was for the Bulls. Maybe the draft might supply nice little 2 guard that can fill it up... but maybe not. If not, you have to find one fast. If Toronto can, there is NO reasoin they can't compete.

Boy oh boy is Portland ever spoiled at the wing spot. They've definitely got a log jam once Martell Webster comes back and they have to be looking to trade in the offseason to get that elite PG.

I thought I read somewhere that Chris wilcox is planning to retire soon. I could be wrong on that.

Why would you need another back-up big?
We have Jake and Jawai and Joey or Marion can play easily at 4. Great time to see what Big Aussie brings on the table. If we need something, that's a backup SG for Solomon or even better Banks

If Caderon does move I think he'll be traded in the offseason.

I do think Nash will come to Toronto only if Calderon does get traded. It gives Ukic a couple more years to prepare and he can learn from Nash

I see the Matrix being re signed for ~$10 mil a year, especially if Nash is the PG

Chris Wilcox, who is 26, will provide some bench strength at the PF/C positions and his contract runs out this year. The Raps can't count on Voskuhl and Jawai especially if one of the starters was to get injured

Trade AP and Kapono to a team looking for a playoff run right now, if you can get a nice expiring or a decent player + 1st rounder :P then try and sign AP this offeason for cheap.

I could see Kapono being traded to Philly b/c they have no outside shooting, but I doubt the Raps will do it b/c they're in the same division.

what about this trade? Marion and Wally combined give the Raps $31 mil in cap space.

Szczerbiak for Parker/Kapono/Humphries
Why? Sasha Pavlovic and his bum ankle gone for 4-6 weeks and Delonte West still sidelined after breaking his wrist

Can be used to sign Bosh to an extension, sign Nash or dare I say, sign Kobe.
Okay scratch that sign Kobe thought.
