Ok, here is a poll to see if we can agree on what aspect of the Raptors needs to be improved RIGHT NOW!

please comment on your vote or just add your thoughts to see if we can come to some sort of concensus as to how we all feel right now. Please deal with the current roster and move ahead from right NOW. Enjoy. I included Other as an option to allow you all to just write in what i missed or if what you feel doesn't seem to fit anywhere on the list.

thanks

1. we need a playmaking PG who can penetrate and play defense.
2. a scoring 2 or 3 who can defend the perimeter.

Right now with the current roster.

1. Get healthy.
2. Bosh and O'Neal need to work together every available practice minute.
3. Get Jose to work on drive and kicks and aggressive, risk-taking plays with Roko(Roko being the teacher, Jose the student).
4. Use Joey Graham more than Moon(9 trips to the line yesterday!)...because he's the only raptor not named Bosh that gets to the basket and actually WANTS to.
5. Keep playing Bargnani 35-38 minutes a game no matter how he's shooting(we saw yesterday a few key 4th quarter buckets even though he wasn't shooting well all night).
6. Limit Kapono seriously when he's not shooting well.

Staring SF is the biggest need, someone who can create for himself not wait for PG to pass the ball and just shoot ... Moon is a role player who shouldn't start.
I also, choose New Coach but is not likely gonna happen. This season is already compromised, if BC can find a real coach to start to implement a totally new system, then this new coach should start as soon as possible otherwise next season will have yet another painful start.

I think our problems lie in depth at 2,3. We need a better SG or SF who can create but also fill some of calderon's weaknesses on offense. I would much rather keep Calderon and have a SG that can create and penetrate, and pass if no shot to open man than to have that type of point guard at this point in time. I think a great SG to complement Calderon would be perfect.

Well when answering the question I ask myself what players would other teams want from us. Lets look at our starting 5. At pg Jose is our guy he would be picked up in a heart beat by most nba teams. So we are set there. Now for our SG we have Anthony a great guy but not what other teams would want maybe coming off the bench but surely not starting. Now at the 3 we have Jamario another great guy, actually one of my favourites, he loves the game , he always looks happy with that smile, hes been every where and just enjoying his time in the NBA.Unfortunately the only team he would be starting on is ours, if teams are looking for some one to come off the bench Jarmario fits the bill. Then we have Bosh not much to say here , he is our starter and would start on most teams in the NBA. Finally we have Bargs, he is making raptor fans and the NBA believers, he is starting for us and rightfully so, he would be starting on some other teams.

In conclusion we have a pg, pf and a center that would start on any other team. We need a sg and 3 spot starter then our bench would be solid.

They need a starting Sf-Wings, and a couple new bench players. We need the wing because it is really lacking right now and AP isn't playing up to what we need and Moon isn't an offensive threat. We need the bench players because our bench is really thin. We have no depth at all and our best bench player is Roko

Right now I think our biggest need is a starting 2, one (like we all know we need) that can create his own shot and (more importantly) shots for others. I think if we start Joey for the rest of the season over Moon that will at least be a minor upgrade for the time being at the 3.

How nice would it be to have Carlos back??

But Moon doesn't give you careless turnovers or stupid offensive fouls. I say we stick with Moon until we find a slasher type of small foward like a Maggete or Howard.

We need to take a step back and just re-evaluate ourselves when everyone on the roster is capable of playing 100% basketball. Similar to the firing of Eddie Jordan, its kind of unfair to make any large acquisitions or replacements when a team isn't at its full potential.

With the way Bargs is playing, trade JO for a wingman, back-up pg, and expiring contracts.

We need a slashing wing who can create his own shot. (Not mentioned in the poll).
