What is Doug Smith smoking?

You've got to be kidding me.

($10 mill IS quite a bit). Or is it a lack of potential?

Doug: Money has almost everything to do with it, heís got a huge ticket. And heís good, no question, but heís on a bad team and you shouldnít get fooled by guys who put up big numbers on bad teams. Does he start over Bargnani here? Are they ready to give up on the kid yet? Nope. Does that mean Dalembertís a backup here? Probably. And thatís waaaaaaay too much money over too many years to pay a backup.

I don't know why I'm getting worked up because it likely won't happen because of his contract which Doug alluded too, but come'on .... Dalembert backing up Bargnani? LMAO

He's playing on a bad team yes, but a bad team that's playing competitive basketball and not just rolling over and giving up like some bad teams.

I agree with him... he is too expensive to be a backup and no way he gets starting position over Bargnani... not because Bargnani is better right now but because Bargnani has more potential and because BC picked him #1... BC is not giving up on him... yet.

Dalembert can and never will play here or I will kill myself having to listening to Leo for more than four games a year talk about Sam's greatness and how it came about during his tenure with Team Canada.

Looking at it from a financial perspective Ivan, I totally agree with you. But I'm sorry if I want to see us get significantly stronger in our weakest area. I'm not implying that Dalembert takes us to the holy grail, but you can bet if he was our centre from day one this season that the gap between us and the Celtics would be a hell of alot closer. :(

I want to see Bargnani improve as much as the next Raptor fan, but let's face it .... he's not improving right now. :(

Patience is the key here... BC cannot jump and trade guys as soon as they had few bad games... after all he is not Isiah...

IMHO... Bargnani will turn it around... by the end of the year at the latest... he needs more time, that's all.

Is clear that bargs needs more time, we cant give up on a player with so much talent yet. Big projects need a lot of time and patience, but in the last games I think his game has actually regressed. Against philly, in the third, if I was bosh I would have killed bargs. Well he almost did.

i love sam d.
the guy is a warrior and is getting better every year... if he's on this team, we easily win 15 more games this season.
rebounding is no longer an issue and we give boston a run for their money in the atlantic.
