So, it seems everyone talks about, I can't wait till next season.

So, what are we hoping to see added or subtracted to this team next year?

I would like to have a solid center and a solid starting point guard but then again, who doesn't?

Kyrie Irving

This team needs a true franchise player. With Bosh gone, we were suppose to see more ball movement. It ain't happening right now. I don't see Bayless as our PG of the future. He is better suited for the bench like Nate Robinson. With the additional late first round pick, get Kawhi Leonard for our future small forward.

Kawhi Leonard, 6-7 sophomore forward, San Diego State
That kid is just a basketball player. The questions are going to be position and jump shot. He's a fantastic rebounder, obviously, with a decent handle. They use him as their backup point guard sometimes. And he's got the biggest damn hands I've ever seen. He makes the ball look like a grapefruit. He could be a Desmond Mason-type guy. The thing about him is they signed him early in high school, he went on to become California player of the year, he had a great freshman season and he has continued to make strides. So this kid has gotten better the last three years.

One of Irving, P. Jones, Barnes

Jose, Bargs, Weems gone and a new 1,3,5 in the starting lineup. New coach, one that is an experienced motivator, holds players accountable and knows how to teach defence.

Keep the main bench players of Bayless, Barbosa, Wright, Davis, Ajinca?

Irving/Bayless
Mayo?/Barbosa
DD/Wright/vet?
Amir/Davis
Defensive Center/FA?/Ajinca?

Ultimately, draft a PG or SF and then upgrade the other two spots via trade (TPE/Jose/Bargs??) and FA. And it would be nice to add a vet off the bench at the 2 or 3.

Kyrie Irving, fewer injuries, and some hustle.

I guess it depends what the expectations for next year are. Are we going to make a push for the playoffs? Is that premature? I'm just looking at our bigs situation and something doesn't sit right. You have Bargnani, Amir and Davis as a pretty good core, but i look at them and i see 3 PFs. We pretty much need to get a traditional centre to fill in for Bargnani's shortcomings.

Yep. 1 is going to be gone and it isn't going to Davis. That leaves Amir and Bargnani.....

See that's the problem, If you get a starting Center (which is needed), do you then move Bargnani to the PF spot and then have too many PF's? Ultimatley Bargs has to play 35mpg, what happens to Amir (shouldn't play Center), and Davis who needs increased minutes. I would love to move Bargnani, Jose, TPE, ? to try and get a Center and either a PG or SF depending on who we get in the draft. And from what i've seen from Davis when he plays 30+mpg (11.1ppg/10.2rpg) i would love to see him starting next season especially if he can add 10-15lbs in the off season and improve his shooting. He is or should be our future PF and that should start next season.

Can't get rid of Davis, we finally have a player that can rebound and block shots and loves to do those things and we're gonna keep.....Amir and Bargnani? One player that gets rebounds, but is foul prone and doesn't really block shots and a player that doesn't do either. If so we better get something spectacular in return or There should be a major protest at the ACC.

well Amir has proven to be pretty versatile and has been OK in a more traditional center's role so i don't know if Colangelo will look to trade one of them.... I just think that using Bargnani as a 5 for a wole year again next year is a recipe for disaster. PUt him at PF and he can be more salvageable and depending on who plays center, it may hide Bargs' weaknesses and making him look a lot better.

I want ED to get the starter minutes/treatment Derozan initially did at the begining of this season & last season. Jose moved, don't mind if Bargs is moved either as long as we're getting a solid C. Don't know why people want Bayless to start for us suddenly? He hasn't shown to be consisent and thats off the bench. Hope Leandro & Kleiza recover quickly from respective operations...else.... WTF you gonna do?

Like I said in an earlier thread, if I could center a deal of Mayo for Bargnani I make that trade in a second. You may have an answer at the PG position and you hope that he and DeRozan could both average near 18 to 20 ppg and you throw a boat load of money at Perkins.

End up with something like:

Mayo
DeRozan
Weems
Davis
Perkins

Not an impressive team but I think you'd be solid in the front court offensively and defensively; Weems could be addressed in terms of a draft pick; Mayo could flourish with a former Trojan and you could have some nice chemistry there.

Hell, I'd try Amir in that same deal, I just don't think it goes anywhere.
