Default What do you expect from JV?

This is not so much is JV going to be a face of the franchise, but could we expect him to be fundamental two way center (a bit like Noah)?
Sometimes he seems like he can be one of the best two way players in the game. But than there are times that it is so frustrating to watch him play, that he makes me loose my hair. Yes he is only 21 and he isn't athletic center so it will take him longer to develop but what do you expect?
If options on the poll don't match your opinion, explain what do you think.

At worst he should be a solid starter (15ppg/10rpg, 3rd option), at best he'll be an all-star, top 5 Center.

JV has the chance to be a solid player. Consistency is the big thing for him though.

15 and 10 is all star numbers at the C , so thats worst case scenario for you, lol

15/10 is not all-star level imo

Name me an all-star Center averaging 15/10, hell there isn't even a Center position on ballets. Does 15/10 make you a top 10 Center? Howard, Vucevic, Hibbert, Anthony Davis, Aldridge, Noah are just a few of the Centers that are far better 15/10.

Gortat is a 13/9 player and he's not even close to being the all-star discussion.

The gap between the 1st 2 options is way too huge.

second that
I went with #1 because #2 is too pessimistic. I guess if "one of the best centers" extends to top 6-7, you can fit JV in there. However, games like tonight show that *maybe* he can be more than that.

really like his play after that horrible outing against the wizards - he's a changed man.

I think he compares pretty well to Gasol. At the same time he should be a lot more mobile than Gasol. I think he is going to be a really tough matchup for most C's in this league. The team has been getting his body fine-tuned all season. Now is when we are going to see that pay off. And it is only going to get better from there. With strong legs underneath him this guy is going to make this team crazy good.

Yeah, there are 3 options out of 4 that make him out to be a disapointment and the other a top notch Center. lol

Its all confidence with him - once he has it on a regular basis and doesn't lose it at the first hiccup he'll be all star calibre.

The 2nd option I take offence with. Just because you're not an "option" doesn't mean you're not important - Noah, Big Ben, etc.

He's too good offensively at 21 not to be a legit 2nd or 3rd option(at worst) in the future. He's got all of the tools, and the work ethic to become one of the best big men in the NBA, and I really believe he'll get there by age 24 the latest, if not 23. He's a smart player too, and with more experience, I think he'll be a very good defensive player as well in time. Add the two together, and you have a phenomenal player.

I have no doubt we'll be paying him max money once his rookie deal is over. Exciting times are ahead.
