Default It is what it is!

Had an epiphany while watching the game today...they can shoot - we can't...one for 20 in 3's...not so much the "D" but lack of ability...but, you know, I LOVE the game of B'Ball...so, will take it for what it is...

Bosh, wait for it...had a "MONSTER" game...have been a detractor in the past...but, have to give credit where it's due...he played his heart out today! Alas, the iron was too small in diameter for the Raps today! I'd watch Phoenix v Raptors every day...certainly entertaining!

i guess the Raptors won't shoot 1/20 every game? So...there's a positive. Well, 5-3 at home isn't ideal. I just hope by Christmas this team is 1-2 game under .500. Then we can do what we did in 06/07 hopefully.

You can't win against Phoenix missing a ton of wide-open three pointers. A huge revelation right there...

don't blame the O, it was good enough
the D is just atrocious - at this pace, we will be the worst defensive team in history

The sad part is Triano constantly blames the offense and the lack of hitting of Shats! He seems to like our defensive coverages. Yet he's not the problem in the least.

I think all that size Bosh has added, while great for battling in the paint, has changed his shot somehow.

His mid range jumper was much more reliable the last two seasons and he hit more of his free throws as well.
The added bulk is the only change I can think of which may have done this.

I'll tell you 'what it is'.

This team is comprised of a bunch of losers... or maybe i should say they are built around a couple of losers and i think you know who i'm talking about. One guy is quick to yell at the crowd and to talk about what to do, but when push comes to shove, folds so easily. The other guy just doesn't have anything other than raw skills and the ability to shoot the ball.

And let me explain that there is a difference between losing games and being a loser. The Maple Leafs lose a lot of games. In soccer Liverpool loses a lot of games. However, those teams aren't 'losers'. They have fight in them. I've watched games of both those teams and even though they've lost, i thought that they did all they could do to the point of feeling proud enough as a fan.

It's REALLY hard to get behind this Raptors team the way things are going.

I don't see where today's loss falls on Bosh and Bargnani. There were some atrocious performances out there, and Bargs was pretty weak on D in spots again, but the biggest problem was so many guys just having no impact at all.

They are a bunch of losers right now in that they find ways to lose. Maybe they could use a coach to change things up enough to turn that around a bit.

There's nothin more Bosh can do, he gives it 100%... Calderon on the other hand Bosh + An actual superstar = 50 wins

Bosh isn't a franchise player. The fact that we rely on him as such is just the biggest factor in my lack of faith in this squad.

It's hard to get behind something i don't have faith in.

You need 2 all-stars to win. Should we trade our 1 all-star for some guys ... which will put us 2 all-stars away from winning.

Or should we hold onto our all-star and do everything we can to get another one. (ie give away jose, bargs, turk whoever they want for an all-star).

we're approaching a our first 20 game stretch of the season and I think it's time for Triano to try something new. His timeout strategies are atrocious. he waits about five to six possessions to long to call one and instead of regrouping down 4 or 6 he regroups down 12-17 like today.
I'd also like to see demar coming off the bench and someone like wright starting who really shouldn't get any offense coming his way, and brings the kind of defensive grit the starting unit is missing.

This team blows.

so, clearly the coaching is to blame, right? they would hit those shots for a better coach, obviously.

He's nearly 30 games below .500 as a head coach. At some damn point the finger has to be pointed at him. He's not getting the desired results and it's pathetic at this point. If Sam Mitchell had this team and we were this bad he'd be cursed out here by everyone. But for some reason Triano gets a pass here by some, maybe because he's a nice guy or because he's Canadian but shit what ever it is, the rose coloured glasses need to come off when it comes to this coach and his staff.

Mitchell was a .500 coach here with less talent and there was a fire Smitch thread here on an almost daily basis.

Mitchell>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Triano

yeah brilliant. Do that and watch Bosh leave this offseason, then what are we left with?
I say if anything....
keep Bargs, see if there is a fair trade available for Jose+Hedo that will make us a top 8 team in the league, and if not stand pat all season long. When the offseason comes find out whether or not Chris is staying, if he stays let go out of the jump-shooting supporting cast we have today for any available allstar/superstar wing. If Chris leaves rebuild!!! trade Jose and Hedo, keep DeRo and look for some 1st rounders
I prefer Bosh leave, I just want the excitement of drafting 1st-3rd overall again lol

I have been wondering the same thing. He IS certainly more "defined" and, given the importance of "touch" in shooting, his new "size" just might have robbed him of some of his "touch". Good observation, "K".
