Hmmm I wonder where else I could post this to cause an uproar???

I know someone else who once thought Jose was better than Deron.

That's pretty high. I think TP, Williams and JKidd are better than Calde. I would say #8. he's better than Harris or Terry.

Its just more movment in the Jose argument evolution
-This guy doesnt belong in the NBA
-This guy isnt fast enough
-He is only doing ok because he is playing against backups
-He is a good backup but cant start
-He can start but he can't do it over a long period of time
-Hes good but not a top 20pg in the league
-Hes good but NOWAY is he top 15
-Top 10 are you out of your mind??
-Jose Calderon is not all All-Star
-Top 5....not yet...

.....

Having Jason Terry on his list kills his credibility, and Jose isnt better than Deron.

CP3 is the best PG in the league right now though. I thought itd happen next year but it came a year early. Their pick and roll play is completely unstoppable.

I also put him 8th, but since tony parker is not playing so good, 7th.

The fact that there is a debate that Jose is a top 5pg in the league would have been unthinkable a year ago.

Who knows perhaps one day we will argue if he deserved that second MVP or not.

for this season, i think its fair.
Jose is playing better then deron.
his numbers dont lie.
sure he isnt scoring as much, but he's definitely making more noise.

Youre crazy dawg. Deron's #'s+Utah's record>>Jose's and our record. The guy is avging 19 and 10 on 51%. Whats Jose at? 12 and 9 at 51%.

Keep in mind Deron's also surrounded with better players thriller. Not taking anything away from Deron because he's a better creator and better defender, but you put Jose in Utah and I bet his numbers are better than they are here in Toronto.

True, they also have a much better coach and actually run plays in the 4th which is nice to watch . Deron gets in the lane more and is more aggressive consistantly than Jose, which is what I think sets him apart. You never see Deron and Paul back it out on a 3 on 2 break, they either get to the line or get a layup for themselves or their teammates. Jose IS too safe a lot of the time, and often saves his energy just for the 4th when he starts penetrating instead of doing it all game. Jose the risktaking penetrating guard>>>>Jose the safe, back it out, throw it in the post guard

To be honest, given a choice I'd have to go with Williams, but just the fact that we are having this conversation is pretty amazing. The guy wasn't a high lottery pick like the others at the top of that list (not Nash either - I know). He wasn't a pick at all and arrived with very little fanfare or expectations. Got to be happy with that.

Throw in the fact that Babcock found him and it makes it even more amazing.
