Default WFAA.com: Bosh Not Giving Clues About 2010

Uh oh, this isn't good.

Toronto forward Chris Bosh has been spending his summer in Dallas, but on the horizon, is a big decision for Bosh.

The Dallas native, whose contract ends with the Raptors next season, has already been added to the list of high-profile free agents that will hit the market next year.

"People have already put me in there," says Bosh. "I think it's going to be an exciting time for the NBA and fans."

It will also be an exciting time for Bosh because his payday is expected to be huge. Bosh calls it a situation that will continue to generate more and more interest between now and next summer.

He laughs when asked if he will follow Shawn Marion, a former teammate, to Dallas. "I have no idea," says Bosh.

His fans in Dallas would like to see him play in Dallas and he knows it. "Oh believe me, they tell me that. I hear that every day, from friends, family, strangers, everybody."

Bosh has already said that re-signing with the Raptors next season is not his intention.
Privately, the team is saying they'll have to trade him or risk losing him to free agency next year. Spending his off seasons in Dallas keeps him in tune with basketball fans in North Texas. In high school, he lead his Lincoln High School team to a 40-0 record and a Texas State Championship

"I can go the smoothie factory and people tell me 'you coming to Dallas?' I go to a chicken place 'you coming to Dallas?' Everywhere I go, at the mall, I get that question everywhere," says Bosh. "I tell them, I'm here right now. You’re not happy to see me?"

There is a feeling in the league that Bosh will consider a deal that will return him to a team in the states, but right now, he's not about to tip his hand.

I think he is not going anywhere! he loves toronto and next years cap will be smaller yet so the payday won't be as big as he and others think it will, plus we will match any offer that comes in for him.. if we trade him, look for him to go to the wolves or the clippers... i bet he would love that!

that bolded line is horseshit. i'd love to see once instance of him saying that. it should just say he'll go where the money is.

What is the source for this claim though? I'm guessing they are just recycling other things they have heard.

Well there isn't far to go from there being a feeling that he's said that, to him actually saying that.

speculation on someones feelings is just as unnecessary.. Bosh is playing his cards carefully and he is just waiting... like i said, if he doesn't bust his ass this season, all this will end quickly...

I'm pretty sure he will leave Toronto, He loves Taxas & Dallas,
I know actually straight from his mouth that secondary to the any team NBA the Dallas Cowboys are his favorite sports Team & that he was going to have Dallas Cowboys colours feature on his website & on his youtube page...

I know all of this because I used to design graphics & animations for his company Max Deal Technoligies...

So toronto red he is not a fan of.

Thats why I have said over and over again that BC should trade him and get something in return for him now.

But it will come out in the end.
I also believe if Bosh were to leave that he won't leave us high and dry it will be for a sign & trade...At least that is my general feeling.

So we might still have to wait till the summer of next year regardless...Oh and of course if we make a good push in the playoffs he could stay but honestly I doubt it.

i think he'll choose an extra $20-$30 million over a colour choice. we may s&t him, but he'd be a fool to leave that money on the table just because he likes the cowboys.

To me, the only way I could imagine the bolded statement being true is if it is a misinterpretation of Bosh saying that he will not sign an extension this summer.

BC has worked hard to put a good team here. If Bosh leaves here to go to Dallas next summer, then it was never really about winning after all, and he can enjoy playing for a team like the Mavericks who have a worse future than the Raptors do.

I have a feeling he might leave.
But if we win this year and make a serious run in the playoffs,he won't leave us.

I have to disagree Dallas just has a shorter window of opportunity because all of there talented players are 30 years & up but if you subtract Dirk & add Bosh you are getting younger already...so the window stays open longer...

I am not saying I know for sure he will leave for Dallas but it looks that way.

like he said, at the mall, at the store, at cowboys games.. not sure cuban will see Bosh as a back up to dirk at any point in either career, and dirk can't play center for 82 games... not sure he really fits there other than in the minds of fans... sure he loves texas, but he will take the money, trust me..
