It's alright. We'll finish up the season, head into the draft, and snag ourselves a nice young...What?...No draft pick?...

This team sucks, and we're blindly hoping a young talent develops into a franchise player but that most likely will not happen.

In sum, we are fucked. And have been fucked for a while. And will continue to be fucked for the foreseeable future.

You guys got Rich Cho as your GM? Why the heck did you trade your 1st round pick?

Before the season started, I really didn't expect to make the playoffs this year, anyway. I started to view it as a much stronger possibility after the rest of the conference appeared to suck. Meh, focus on finishing the year as well as possible and convey the crappiest pick we can to OKC. The Raps probably lose a bunch of games coming up, but I think they'll still finish with at least 30 wins.

Lowry is worth giving up an 8th or 9th pick. The only way I really think we're fucked is if we push him away and he doesn't re-sign. The way the Lowry situation has been handled, JV getting hurt, and the uncertainty surrounding Bargnani bothers me more than the losing. Although the past few losses have been dissapointing, we have a competitive team that is still missing value from assets (JV out and whatever we can get for Bargnani, whether that's a trade or some scoring from the bench which allows us to start Anderson at SF).

I still think it's a good move, so long as Lowry re-signs. A player that can go into beast mode, the way he did in the late stages of the Brooklyn and Chicago games, are not easy to find, especially outside of the top 5. The probability of finding them gets slimmer and slimmer the further down the draft you go. I think we'll end up drafting 8th or 9th. There might be a good prospect available there, but likely not better than Lowry.

Some might say that not having a pick kills our ability to tank, but I think we're past that. We have several good, young players. We need to just keep fighting hard. We are one big move (trade or signing), or one decent trade + some internal development away from winning 50 games in 2 years, in my opinion. All depends on whether Colangelo or the new GM fucks it up. Colangelo has a tendency to do something right (a move very easy to defend), then neutralize it with a baffling move. It's what makes him so frustrating.

A problem we're going to face is JV coming back, because one of Ed or Amir would go out of the starting line-up. They have great synergy, so they should still start with KL. We'd have to play JV and Fatgnani as bench players with Oucho in the bench unit, which adds up to other teams second units mopping the floor with us. The way this line-up is constructed, means we're probably screwed worse than we think. Our salvation is having DC sort the rotation and BC make the trades to fix this?

They just need to balance out the roster. Half of it plays good two-way basketball together, but can't sustain it for a full game without the support. Ed will get better at playing bigger minutes. Amir might have good ankles someday. Ditto Lowry. Valančiūnas will grow well with this team. Anderson could be a very good sixth man sort of player. Just add a few pieces to support those guys, maybe some veteran help, and this team can make a jump. This season they are just undermanned and in need of moves to be made. It would be nice to see an injection of new bodies before the trade deadline to give them a chance to find some success to close out the season.

I'll repeat that this season is about getting a much clearer picture of how this team can find success. I don't think it was ever in the cards to have much success as currently constructed, but a little more clarity and balance by th end of the season would leave me feeling pretty positive.

Maybe someone mentioned, i didn't read, but why do you want to give OKC a bad pick? They're in other conference, they're a top 2 team, if they get any stronger it doesn't effect us, but if we let some wizzards or other shitty eastern team get higher picks by not wanting to give it to OKC, we lose more.

The Lakers game is winnable. They are not a good team right now. I put that game as a W.

After losing to the Heat I'd expect them to come in VERY pissed off.... and D12 is a nightmare matchup for us.

I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I like Lowry, he's a baller. But did ya'll really need to give up your 1st rounder for him. I mean, one of the only thing Raptors fans have to look forward to is tanking for a draft pick. To take that away from fans is mean. Just plain mean my friends.

I'd start an official petitition to fire your front office. Somebody up there wants to suck on purpose, for reasons which I don't know why.
