Yep he's played SG his entire NBA career so naturally he's a natural SF. Guess the knicks missed that. Regardless, the real point has been mentioned, now that Fields is here BC can aggressively pursue the trade that will address the SF position

Uhm he was the knicks starting SG his rookie year and went to the rookie all star game as a guard. He stayed in the SG role when Melo came last year. He has filled in at SF when injuries forced the Knicks to shuffle players.

Well he's played the 5,4,3,2 in high school and college. Certainly doesn't mean I'd regularly play him at the NBA level 3,4,5 even though he has in the past.

Doesn't matter, if BC is going to use Fields at the 3 I'd be dissapointed. If BC is going to address the 3 by suggesting DD can fill in cause he's put on more weight I'd be disappointed. If BC addressing the SF by committee I'd be disappointed

I love the argument Fields is a 3, because he lacks skills to be a 2. Which is maybe true.
Raptors' fans have been through so much grief, that's how I explain the desire to fantasize, to imagine things better than what they're really are.
Fields is a surplus. Overpaying for surplus is bad anyway you spin it.
JJ is tons better at SF.
Starting SG, really? I can see DD progressing, I can't see Fields progressing that much.

Well, Fields deal was essentially only official yesterday. I would say that unless another deal gets done in the next 24hrs we'll see them get introduced tomorrow. If we're making another deal (ie: SF?) then maybe they wait to introduce all 3 players at once. But if i'm not mistaken, both players are in toronto right now so could even be today?
