me neither, but when BC looks at it he's going to see that no good players want to come and that keeping weems may be the easiest way to fill the position and he still has "potential"

I was responding to a post that implied he had so much more value than the two guys I mentioned, which he clearly doesn't.

I thought that was obvious.

Yeah right, Carrolls value = Kleizas value...

Kleiza always had his value. He was great 6th man, and good cover to injury phrone K Martin. 3 years ago, he had 14 ppg average in the playoffs, and now when he improved his mid range and post skills, you say he has no more value (or much more value...) than Kapono and Carroll?

4 years 5M contract in front... It's not a bad sign when hes healthy. He was clearly in pain and it's only Raptors trainers fault they allowed him to play, and fucked up his leg, and his chances to prove his value or play in the Eurobasket.

You much have been watching a different Kleiza than the rest of us. The one I watched played well in preseason, and sucked the entire regular season.

Because we've been saying this whole entire thread that he was never close to 100% and was playing through an injury during the season.

Triano never played him at PF
But if I'm not mistaken he is best when matched up against slower guys.

BC goes his ways to acquire versatile players and Triano would never experiment in the lineups. Except playing 3 PGs from time to time. (because you need ballhandlers!)

Klieza has become redundant.

I still like Kleiza better than I did Weems even if Kleiza was hurt. It'll be good to see what he can do when he's healthy, when is he expected to be back?

Kleiza was brought in for mainly shooting beyond the arc.

Whether it's injury or whatever, under 30% from downtown is unacceptable.

I don't see any other need for him, so I would not mind if he left.

He's not going anywhere at least until next season's trade deadline if there is a season. I still say he's a pretty good player and could help this team.

I'm not as sure about how much Kleiza can help the team.

But I do agree that he probably has to stay over the summer. Teams probably don't want to take his contract for 3 years, coming off a bad knee.

klieza is a good player no doubt. a great player at times. but if we draft either barnes, or williams, there is no room for either JJ or klieza so that will be an intresting battle of mins to watch. ring a bell anyone(see: pg position couple years ago)

Who cares why? And do you really think he was injured the ENTIRE season? If he's that injury prone as to be injured an entire season, and not even from one devastating injury either, I don't want him on my team anyways.

I don't even buy that. I think he was as healthy as he's gonna get for much of the first half of the season. No excuses. He sucked and he was a bad signing.

think before you talk. klieza had complaints about his knee throughout the season. a knee injury in the nba can be dreadful, and can have a huge effect on your play. klieza got injured in preseason. klieza is a much better player than what he showed us to be(which btw wasnt all that bad). give him another year to prove himself

Why are you telling me this? I already said that we're stuck with him. That means I will have to "give him another year to prove himself" whether I like it or not. Do you even read people's posts before responding?

what i meant by give him another year was keep an open mind instead of shutting up on him from the start. and yes, i do read your posts before responding to them.

No, obviously you don't. Or you don't think. Otherwise you wouldn't have said what you did.

Injuries are a fact of life for ALL NBA players. Sucking for an ENTIRE SEASON isn't just "injuries". If his knee was bothering him so much, that might be an excuse for not attacking the basket and playing physical, but it's not an excuse for shooting 29% from three. That is just sucking. No excuses.
