Maybe one or two would come in and treat DeMarr like this

YouTube - Rookie Scottie Pippen with Charles Oakley
It would be great if we could get Oak as an assistant thus negating the need to sign a "teaching" veteran.

But if you were seeking an active player to provide guidance to our youngsters I would say someone like Tim Thomas or Kurt Thomas would be absolutley perfect.

As an aside, I think having Alvin is great for the guards on this team.

tim thomas is pretty immatrue for his age, I still remember when the raps were facing the knicks and he did the you can't see me/tony yayo hand thing after he hit a 3 ball that made it a 20 point game in favour of toronto lol, but kurt thomas would be great especially for davis and johnson

There's nothing wrong with a bit of attitude if harnessed correctly.

I agree Kurt would be great but I would prefer Tim due to age difference.

Anyways, I just think a Vet with a little toughness is ideal ala Oak.

even tho t-mac is heading to chicago if there was any chance we could land him I think that would be great, chances are he'll get hurt and miss a ton of time but it would help DD and weems out alot, altho they do have alex english to listen to who was one of the best scoring wing players, the best of the 80s

T-Mac coming to the Raptors just isn't gonna happen, not good for the organization.

The big difference (besides toughness) between T-Mac and Tim Thomas is expectancy in terms of playing time. Tim would come here knowing he would be a bench player/role model Tracy would come here looking to start.

Tracy only would accept coming of the bench on a contender, but not if he signed with the Raps.

yee I'm just saying, someone who's done it before would do our young wing players good, apparently the bulls will sign t-mac as long as he agrees to bench role

maybe tim thomas could come and mentor our players on how not to waste your career away by being a lazy piece of crap. someone mentioned in a previous thread that being a vet doesn't necessarily mean that you can help lead. tim thomas is a prime example of that.

Lots of NBA experience is the key, so sorry Joey I liked you in SL.

But...

We need a "been there done that, it's not a big deal, don't waste your time with that, what you should really focus on is, don't talk with them about that, this is how you foul Kobe..." kind of player.

Yeah maybe, but I would imagine Stackhouse will be staying with the Bucks as it was really positive for him there last year.

90's throwback question;

Anybody else out there ever own a pair of "Stack's"????
