Thinking it might take too much to move up a couple of spots, since the possibilities probably start around #5 Sacramento or #6, Portland.

NO will want Davis
Cha needs best player available
Was picture MKG or Beal beside Wall
Cle Best player available

But what are you giving up to go from #8 to 5 or 6 and is it worth it?

I hope if they move the pick, it's in a package for a known established young commodity.

As for Small Forwards, Harrison Barnes and Perry Jones III could be picked at #8 imho, very much less possibility for Kidd-Gilchrist (Top 3 i think, 4 at the worst). White would be nice too, but he's scared of flying...

If we'll get rid of Calderon (trade for ??? A sf possibily) we could even pick Marshall, it only depends on what they wanna do.

I could see one of Lamb, Beal or Lillard dropping to 8th and that would be pretty ideal.

Lamb would definitely give Derozan some competition. BC has commented that he has left some workouts very impressed and would draft the best player available no matter the make-up of the current roster. BC did attend the workout of Lamb yesterday in Manhatten. Lamb does have a smooth handle and a nice pull-up jumper. It would be nice to have two wing players who can give the team 15-17 points a night on a consistent basis.

Draft Lamb, trade Derozan + S&T Bayless for a SF.

Maybe not, but I could see a team ahead of us grabbing the best PG prospect earlier than initially expected.

personally i'm in favour of trading down.

if you look at it from another team's perspective i think houston are in a great position going into the draft. They could easily end up with 2 more good players with their picks. If they're willing i would love us to look into the trade down with them involving lowry.

Bryan Colangelo may be interested in trading Toronto’s lottery pick in next month’s draft in order to bring some proven talent to his roster.

“Obviously if there’s a transaction that warrants moving the pick, we’ll consider that but we’re not actively shopping it,” Colangelo said after league’s draft lottery.

“It’s all going to be a matter of what’s on the board and as you know, the $12 million of flexibility that we have … gives us some options to take on contract,” he said. “It may be committing some or all of the cap space moving forward. We would consider doing that and if it was the right player, a player of a significant caliber, then we would obviously consider upping the ante by including the pick if necessary.”

The Raptors are slotted to pick eighth in the draft.

“Clearly at eight, it expands it (the draft pool) exponentially but that’s what we do,” Colengelo said. “We’ve had a good pulse of this draft. With the lockout-shortened season we had the opportunity to get out and see a lot of games and we’ll take advantage of that now.”

“We actually like this selection at eight,” he said. “Just through some of the preliminary work that we’ve done here over the last four weeks, we’ve walked out of a lot of gyms excited about what we’ve seen.”

Young completely destroyed JV at the end there, honestly, that made my stomach feel a little sick. I hope he isn' t that soft when he gets here.

Y ai remember that was the case...just his expression and the way he cowers... likely not a problem... but as a raps fan you always assume the worst now.

If we can pry Lowry away from Houston, and still keep our pick. This lineup would be pretty fun to watch, and could generate some wins over the next few years.

Lowry
Derozan
PJ3
Barney Rumble (mago)
Valanciunas
