Default Are we BC's fat girlfriend??

I know it's cruel, but the analogy is that you can screw around and do stupid stuff, but the "fat gf" keeps coming back and putting up with shyte. She has no self esteem and knows she better keep you because she cant get anyone else even close to you.

Is that what we are to BC?

The whole TJ Ford thing seemed like a flyer and an unnecessary gamble. Then to sign him to 3 x $8mill without him proving anything, totally handcuffed us when TJ showed his stripes.

No prob, we'll trade for a washed up has-been. Jermain O'Neil. Total bust. Time to unload again.

In comes Marion and his declining bag of tricks. We are one of the worse teams in the league.

So BC throws the bank at Hedo who is basically what we were hoping Bargs would turn into. More redundancy.

Now the Raptors consist of three PF's, no center, a PG that cant create and a handful of cast offs. Does he get away with this in L.A? New York? Boston? Not bloody likely.

I keep reading on this board that we should "wait cuz he isnt finished".

In other words, we are the fat GF sitting at home when our BF is still out at 3 am. We know deep down that he is screwing around, but we convince ourselves that someday he will come home and stay home.

Because if I dont believe that, I dont have anything.

rarely do things happen in the nba in one night. reacting to each minute is just a waste of energy. a sensible fan has patience. this isn't a girlfriend relationship. it's more like a marriage. patience, understanding and some faith. if it becomes a complete clusterfuck, you can always get divorced.

nice post, most of it is true. I never liked the TJ deal for Charlie. I liked the JO trade, the marion deal was okay, but we knew he wasnt going to score since he cant create, but he did rebound and had some good D.

Well said Efman and I couldn't agree more. As Jakkal already alluded too in another thread here, we're really screwing with our depth yet again this season. If guys like Bosh and Jose continue to be injured as much as they have over the last couple seasons, then things are going to be a struggle not having any depth. I like Hedo, but I really don't like how much we're spending to get him. I would of much rather kept Marion for a smaller price tag and added a few more pieces to the puzzle that would strengthen our bench.

Come July 8th if this team does not pick up some players (dont know how we can do that with no more room to spend) then the real trash talking will start!

That's a pretty damn good analogy. Although I must be a bit fatter and uglier than some because I'm still willing to wait and see what comes next.
If I'm not satisfied by how BC fills out the rest of the roster, I'm gonna drop those extra pounds and get smokin' hot really quick. There better be a solid plan in place rather than just throwing a ton of cash at the biggest fish available.

Yeah ... I don't like the Turk coming over here for that kind of money and with the current team. BC needs to make some moves to make this team more balanced. Unless a trade for CB4 is on the table, we really have 3 PFs and one PG.

Hedo is a SF. He has PF height, but plays like a SF.

Marion is too old considering he is an "athletic" player. Hedo at least is a shooter so even if he starts to slow down he can still shoot the ball, as marion continues to slow down what else can he do? The dam guy cant even shoot the ball. Also how much of a smaller price tag to keep marion? 9 million a year over three years is not that small and again the fact that he is already 31 and compleatly relys on his "athleticism" to get anything done is risky in itself. ALthough i cant really agree on the hedo trade eather (considering we loose MLE and delfino rights) it looks like any road we took we were getting screwed.

We couldnt get marion at a cheaper price because i read that we offered 4 years 34 mill(8.5mill/year), we are paying hedo a little over 10 mill, there isnt much difference.

Sure if he wanted to be here. IMO anyone who has an issue with this deal can point the finger straight at Marion and his agent. 4yr/34Mil wasn't enough in their eyes and Marion simply didn't want to stay here and was expecting the same deal as Hedo if he did stay.

Actually that could have been said alot more last summer when JO came here. The fact is Turkoglu is a SF and fits here alot more then JO ever did. And a full season at the center spot and Bargnani imo will be good at that position and continue to improve.

Hedo>>>>>JO

I'm a tad perplexed by the move, especially if it completely cripples us, but at the same time I'm reserving my judgement until all is said and done. I'm not a huge BC supporter, but maybe he's going to pull a rabbit out of his hat.

Maybe this fat.

And this wasnt suppose to be yet another player analysis, it was suppose to be about our collective easy forgivingness of the crappy moves.
